It's late for today but how about going to Quebec City for a day? Maybe tomorrow? I rented a car there and took my wife there on a Sunday it was wonderful. We saw Chutes de la Chaudiere. We went to that small street by the river with all those restaurants and shops and took the tram up to the big chateau with all the old buildings there. We walked around it was nice. Great view from up there! We also went to Chutes Montmorency. Wow did all these in about 12 hours while stopping from time to time to take photos. It's a nice city to visit especially if you like waterfalls!

It's funny, I've lived in Quebec most of my life (minus 2 years in Florida) and have never gone to Quebec City laughing.gif My husband and I ended up watching the first Harry Potter movie and are waiting for Pizza Hut deliver so we can watch the next movie :D

Yeah, I don't get out much. headbonk.gif I live north of Montreal and I usually avoid Montreal if I can because of the roads in downtown Montreal with their one-way streets and limited parking. I'm not a fan laughing.gif

Well, I emailed Mr. Badger on Wednesday and no response yet. Same old, still no progress or even touches.

I'm flying to the U.S. for a visit tomorrow, bringing all my "proof of ties" documents as well as a copy of the correspondence we've had from USCIS. Hopefully I won't have any issues going through customs; I got through fine when I visited in November. At least I get to visit (and I know a lot of people can't, so I'm really lucky in that regard), but I'm still really tired of this waiting.

Don't despair too much, I got my approval shortly after I hit 6 1/2 months, while some got theirs around 6 months and other around 7... point being, you guys should be getting something any day now, keep the Faith and enjoy your time with your better half! :)

For the spreadsheet: I received my NOA2 (Approval) with a Notice Date of Feb 23. Still waiting for an NVC case #.

But then on Feb 28 I received an email notification that said

"Your Case Status: Initial Review

On February 17, 2011, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to our TEXAS SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action."

It seems like another mistaken notification, since the date specified is before the date of the approval notice. Did anyone else get one of these?

Congrats on the approval! If you check the spreadsheet out, there have been a few notifications similar to yours AFTER an approval.

wow, where did everyone go?

As more and more people get their approvals there will be less posts here. I'm just here waiting for a response from my RFE. Hope I get an approval by the end of the week.

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting. It has been 8 months since I filed my papers. This is ridiculous. I am not even going to be that happy when and if I receive my approval. This whole ordeal took all the energy out of me.
