HI all- I'm sending in the I-130 this week. On the visajourney I-130 page is talks about also assembling the I-485 app with all of the other documents. I thought that the I-485 was later on in the process, and is basically the application form for the greencard. My husband lives in Peru.... we are applying for the CR-1. I thought we just turn in the I-130 with all required documents? The I-485 is more for if your spouse is already in the USA with another visa, and want to apply to change the status?

Thanks!

CR-1 visa hopefuls, with consular interviews,

NEVER, EVER file the I-485.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
