okkkk... so i went to the Washington DC-Fairfax Office.

My appointment time was at 10:00am, and I arrived at 9:30 to find a parking space at the metro but there wasn't any so I had to go to the lot behind the USCIS center to find a spot which there was one left all the way at the top..... so I walked in and it was around 9:40ish. so I walk in and go through the metal detactors, but they yelled at me because i was supposed to wait outside and only 2 people were allowed to the around the metal detactors... who knew?? there isn't even a sign but anyways I went to the 2nd floor and waited outrageous 2 hours for my interview, my interview person was like late 20's white female. It wasn't that she wasn't nice or anything she just took me back and just went along the busisness, not even a hello, well considering i got called in at 11:50 it was lunch time i can understand lol, so we went through the paper work, and asked me if i had any criminal offenses, and I said no. Then she asked me have I ever gone to a court, and I said yes, because of car accicident like 3 years ago which I got a ticket for Falilure to Keep Vehicle Under Control, and I told her that I was in a car accicident and got a ticket and my ticket got dismissed and blah blah blah, so she was like ok. She then discriptively went over my trip, where did you go in the past five year so I told her I went to Canada for two days and Korea for two to three weeks and what I did. Finally she said now we are going to start the test, I had to read When is Colombus(I probly spelled that wrong lol) day? and I had to write Washington is the capitol. so I did that and passed. The Civics test was easy as well, but I don't really remember all the questions. Some were

Who serves if the President and the Vice Presidents weren't able to serve the office?

Speaker of the House

What is the Declaration of Independence?

A break up letter with britain which allowed US to be free

How many years do we elect senators?

6 years

What does Cabinate do?

Advises the President

How many Justices are in the Supreme Court?

8 Associate Justice and 1 Cheif Justice so 9

and I don't remember the last one but yea.. and I passed :)

She told me since I will be getting my name changed I had to wait additional time becasue they have to schedule me at the court of Alexanderia so I can take the oath and the name change there. Apprently, people interviewing today were allowed to get their oath on the 4th of July at the Mount Vernon with the T.V cameras and all. I was sooo jelous lol hahaha. Overall I think the experience was good but really LONG!! lol well good luck to the rest of you!!

Congratulations, Yong Kwon!

Two hours, ouch... I'm going (someday :bonk: ) with three kids in tow, I hope they won't make me wait that long. Maybe they pushed you back because you came a little late and they already got someone else in...

Speaking of July 4th Oath. When I applied in February I was thinking, "If they offer me to take the Oath on July 4, I'm going to say - no thanks, I don't need anything big, I'd like to take the Oath as soon as possible".

Ha. I'm definitely not doing July 4th. More likely, Thanksgiving...
