They should have the female nurse there. If they are not, the applicant can ask for it.

I don't mean to offend you with my comments, same thing in Punjab, they have a one male doctor (who always works in clinic and call his patient there) but in the clinics they have female doctors to do the thing.

Here is more info -

U.S. Consulate General, Hyderabad has retained Dr. Raj Kumar Songa M.D. (AIIMS) as its Panel Physician to conduct Immigrant Visa medical examinations in Hyderabad for residents of Andhra Pradesh. Dr. Raj Kumar has reached an agreement with Vijaya Diagnostic Center in Himayathnagar to serve as the diagnostics center for the medical exams. He has established an on-site office at that facility. For more information or to make an appointment,

please visit the U.S. Consulate General, Hyderabad website at http://hyderabad.usconsulate.gov.

hey Raj - yer a new member. strongly suggest you use the advanced search feature here -

and for search terms - use

'India Medical'

and read, copiously.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

this is particularly inconvenient to lot of applicants who have to get a medical done outside of USA since in some countries and specific states only option you have is one approved doctor who is a male, so no matter what even all the female applicants irrespective of their age have to go visit this male doctor for physical exam? Even in other states in India there is no way of you choosing a female doctor or male doctor.

Unlike in US especially in India you don't have an option to choose between a male and female doctor for medical exam. very sad.

Having said that have anyone gone through medical exam in their respective countries share their experiences or of anyone from India went through the medical exam pls. share your experience.

So what,if they have to be nude.doctor is a doctor, they have seen thousands of naked male and females in their practices.what if in emergency, are they going to ask for a female doctor to come and save them? How funny!!

Ya Know, I've watched all of your posts, all of your questions here on VisaJourney.com. To the best of my knowledge, I have to classify you as a 'mobile phone user',

as

you, apparently, aren't reading.

Why aren't you reading? Yer using a mobile phone for yer internet access, and mostly, the menus at the top of the page are not so viewable.

Can you, please, switch to a PC? A Personal Computer? Winders or MAC, any browser you want,

and then.... (wait for it...)

Click on the word 'Guides' up at the top.

Ya can't miss it, it's in the blue range, highlighted in White.

Once you get to 'Guides'

then read the entire page.

Find the Guide that applies to yer particular type of casefile.

If any ancillary links, like an NVC FLOWCHART, read those as well.

Don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader Installed on yer pooter?

wow - now is the best time to install it, as the FLOWCHART for NVC

Processing is in Reader format, and you have to download something.

then... as you have a moment to rest... when yer thinking.....

get a big piece of paper (11 x 17 inches is best)

then dig out a blue or green crayon (I like blue, btw)

and make a diagram of

where you are...........

what's next.............

what documents you must produce (emphasis on production here)

and then........

Find LingChe on the wiki... Come on - I dare ya to find it... Really.. Come On...

Once you've found it, dig out yer crayon again, and start making copious notes.

Then, as you've made these copious notes, get a clean sheet of paper,

and make the diagram again.

Then make 2 copies.

Send one to yer spouse, send the 2nd one to yer favourite Uncle.

Keep yer original in your satchel, as you'll review it daily.

Then, when you have a spare moment, O Raj,

Change your user profile to reflect which country yer spouse is really in;

Change yer TimeLine to reflect the country yer spouse is really in;

and then ... (again, wait for it............)

click on the 'portal page'

and you'll see a wealth of information, in the form of clickable links,

that pertain to yer particular Embassy.

Study the Embassy info, Study the Timelines for yer country (of Spouse),

mark yer calendar,

and...

go forth...

----

Should you fail to do any of this stuff...

then..

I have to think...

yer really in the wrong place, as

VisaJourney.com is a DIY Immigration web portal,

with an emphasis on 'Y' (YOU) and 'D' (Do)...

Doing it yerself is mondo fricking important,

and VJ has all the info you need.

It's up to you to find it, assimilate it, and act on it.

Read, Man, Read !!

Please?

Purty Please??

Purty Please with Mutton Curry on it???

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I had a male doctor but a female nurse was present during the entire examination. I had to take off my bra (still kept my top on) and pull down my pants to my knees and I was given a gown to cover up, so I guess wasn't 'fully naked' per se. There was a quick physical examination in the nether regions and a breast examination. Very routine, couple of minutes. Nothing worse than my pap smear.

For the chest x-ray, I had to take top and bra off, but had a gown on.

So what,if they have to be nude.doctor is a doctor, they have seen thousands of naked male and females in their practices.what if in emergency, are they going to ask for a female doctor to come and save them? How funny!!

Not all doctors are alike. I can tell you from experience that some doctors are VERY lecherous and from others experiences some doctors do things they're not supposed to. This "all doctors are alike" malarkey is just that, malarkey. My dentist even has a female assistant, and a chair available if you want a family member present. The idea of being stuck in a little room with no supervision from someone else under the guise of "medical tests" is disturbing... especially for those that have been abused by medical professionals, or know someone who has... so it's not unreasonable to expect the choice be there for those that want/need it. You need only google "doctor abuses patient" or "dentist abuses patient" to find results. Most recently was a dentist who took advantage of patients, somewhere around 20 people. My husband now refuses to let me go to a dentist where I'll need to "go under" unless he, or someone else, can be there... and you know, I appreciate the concern.

For my medical I was not required to get naked (except for the X-ray where I was permitted to change in a private room and given a gown to wear). My breasts were not examined, my pelvic region was not examined (but I did give my doc my Pap results). My (then) fiance was very uncomfortable with the idea of me being examined without female supervision and felt much better knowing I didn't have to get naked.

Please be aware that your life may not be the same as someone else's, and that doesn't give you the right to mock someone who feel uncomfortable about something, you don't know what they've gone through and I hope you never do. Of course an emergency situation is different, especially as there is no "private little room", there's usually many people involved and lots of supervision.
