Applying for Visit Visa after filing I-130

Hi, i just filed I-130 for my wife who is currently living in Dhaka, Bangladesh. i am just wondering can she apply for visitors VISA. will there be any problem with the process if she apply for Visit Visa?

Depending on country, and evidence of ties to home country a visitors visa may be denied. If had one before and did not overstay then may be approved.

The consulates assume Immigrant intent for all tourist visa applications, and it is up to the applicant to prove otherwise, and having an immigrant petition in process just shows immigrant intent.

I would travel over there for a visit rather than trying to get a B-2 visa.

There's no clear-cut answer for this one. The approval or otherwise is at the discretion of the CO at the embassy. She will have to have strong ties/evidence to show that she intends to come back and wait out the I-130 process. She can apply but no guarantees...
