A UK immigration official put his Pakistani wife on the no-fly list when she went home for a visit because he didn't want to be with her anymore... #######? http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/02/02/idUS256856829920110202

Immigration Officer Put Wife On Terrorist List To Get Rid Of Her

By Jetpacker at The Jetpacker

Wed Feb 2, 2011 10:30am EST

If you thought breaking up with someone via text message was harsh, wait until you hear about this.

There’s a story coming out of the United Kingdom about an immigration officer who put his wife on the terrorist list to get rid of her.

The guy was so sick and tired of his wife that when she flew back to Pakistan to visit her family, he covertly added her name to the Border Control’s list of suspected terrorists.

When she tried to return home to the UK, she was shocked to find that she wasn’t allowed to board the plane, and security refused to tell her why.

So the wife remained stuck in Pakistan… for THREE YEARS.

That’s right, it wasn’t until three years later that the truth finally came out during an interview for a promotion in which the husband was questioned about his wife being a terrorist.

That’s when he confessed to putting her on the No-Fly list to get rid of her. He was subsequently fired for gross misconduct and the wife was allowed to return to the UK to give him a good beating.

Happy February everyone. It's been somewhat nice here, warm during the day and chilly at night. I feel sorry for all of you with the bad weather conditions, I hope it clears up soon. And I hope all the unrest in Egypt comes to a screaming halt....it's horrible.........:((

Sandy, congratulations on the ROC!

Jeanne, congratulations to you on such wonderful news! That’s BIG!! I often think of you and how many times you’ve posted “Wael is studying…” in your posts whenever my husband hits the books. It’s so great all of Wael’s work is paying off! How did you handle the cold last week? Oh my gosh I was FREEZING! I will not complain quite as loudly about the heat this summer, I think.

We had a surprise on Thursday night when our car just ceased to function. I had to take Friday off work to deal with the car and find out that the engine was toast and we set out to get a new one. We actually found one yesterday and I was able to introduce my husband to the joys of car shopping and American car salesmen. He did say it was pretty similar there in Morocco. He LOVES the car though and it would have to be something great to make him not be totally bummed about a big car payment. LOL! We got a 2010 with just over 6,000 miles and so we’re pretty happy with it and it’s nice to have more reliable transportation. I’m also happy to not have to go back to the car dealership any time soon!

Have a great week everyone and may things settle down in Egypt and everyone’s family and friends be safe.

Last night someone went into me and Adams vehicals. I got ready to go to church and I noticed my Bible had been moved and my work badge had been moved. Then I realized my glove box was open but nothing was out of it bcz it only had papers in it. A pack of Adams cigarettes that only had 1 or 2 left was taken out my car and I'm surprised they didnt take my box cutter out my car or anything from the truck since I have a lever in my car for the truck. Then I went inside and got Adam to come out and we noticed someone had been in his car too bcz his cds were out and missing some arabic ones, and his glove box was opened too but nothing missing that we could tell. They didnt find his gps which was under the seat. Strange! We will be locking our car doors from now on. We just didnt think about it since we live around chickens and cops, I guess the kids or burglars dont care.

Sorry to hear about the break-ins Tammy. Be sure to ALWAYS lock your car. Doesn't matter if you're just going to run

in the store. I'm glad nothing was destroyed!! NEVER NEVER take for granted that your car doesn't need to be locked.

Don't know about you, but my first thing I do when I get into my car is lock my door. Then the seat belt goes on. Just

be careful and stay safe hon.

I know! Back home in Atlanta I always, I mean ALWAYS locked the doors. There was no sense of safety back home anywhere. One time I accidentally forgot to lock my car door when I was at work and when I went got into my car to get some lunch I realized someone had been in my car and left a bag of drugs in my car! Scary!

Here, I just didnt think about it since we live in the country and cops live everywhere around us but so do alot of young people.

Another time back home in Georgia I was off work and at my Walmart leaving the store to get into my car and a man came out of nowhere and tried to open up my back drivers side door, thankfully it was locked- all my doors were locked. He moved up to my driver door and was trying to say something but I put my car into reverse and backed up and he got into a car parked across from mine and he followed me to the back of the parking lot, then I drove to the front of the store and called some other managers and told them about what had just happened.

Now since this happened Saturday night, I'm scared to be home alone since Adam works til 2am. Im about to buy some pepperspray. Thankfully my mom and step dad lives one mile straight up the road and my step dad is a cop as well. But being at home alone still makes me nervous at the moment
