From what I understand (I've never gotten an RFE), and someone please correct me if I am wrong, you don't have to use the envelope they provide. You can use a larger full size envelope that will fit m

Just wondering, have any of the VSC filers had so much as a touch (after NOA1) yet? Mine is still 3/3/11. I think the files must be starting to feel lonely and unloved :lol:

I bought a ticket to home country yesterday, and i made an info-pass appoinment for thursday. I need stamp on my passport. Are they stamping the passport for travel at the info-pass? or i can still travel with my extension letter along with the expired green card?

still no news about my interview outcome :(

10/21/08 (Day 0) - Application Sent (I-130, I-485/I-864/I-693, I-765)

10/22/08 (Day 1) - Received Date (USPS over night)

10/29/08 (Day 8) - Check Cashed

10/30/08 (Day 9) – Received NOA (I130-I485-I765) Dated 10/31/08

10/31/08 (Day 9) - I130, I765, ONLINE BUT I485

11/02/08 (Day 12)- Received Biometrics appointment scheduled 11/15/08

11/07/08 (Day 17)- Biometrics Done Early walking in Norridge,Illinois

11/17/08 (Day 27)- Request for Evidence letter for I485 (they were asking for I94 Arrival record) It took 5 days to arrive online letter was sent 11/12/08

11/18/08 (Day 28)- Request Evidence is I94 sent along with I20,( I was a student), NON immigrant visa page on the passport, also, approval letter of F1 status, because i changed my status after i came to USA.

I was at the office today after making an infopass appt. ... they stamped my passport with no issues just asked where and why was I going out of country. I don't see ant issue but if I were u in ur case I'd wait as u don't know if its denied atleast u can stay back and appeal... just read a little bit of ur history....

Congrats to all the people who have been approved, but have they quit working altogether? Nothing new on my status since February 25th when they received it.

As I've stated previously, I think we will get an RFE as we didn't put in a rental agreement and that seems to be a deal breaker (essentially we didn't have one in our possession but can ask the landlady for a formal letter, etc).

Can I pre-empt a RFE and send in other evidence without them asking for it?

i think u can because the NOA says :

If you have not already done so, provide supporting documents to assist USCIS in processing your petition and to establish eligibility to remove the conditional basis of your permanent residence. PLEASE INCLUDE A COPY OF THIS RECEIPT NOTICE WITH ANY SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS YOU SUBMIT. Such evidence may include, but is not limited to, the following items:

--------------------- Lease of joint tenancy or joint ownership of assets

--------------------- Joint mortgage agreement and/or property deed

--------------------- Tax returns

--------------------- Birth certificate (s) of any child (ren) born from the marriage

--------------------- Joint policies of life, medical and/or car insurance

OMG, I literally just received the following email from USCIS!:

On May 19, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

I actually had to read it a couple times to be sure! Wow, I still think I'm seeing doubles.

I guess this will give the rest of VSC applicants some hope that things are speeding up at that center!
