Well, my in laws are starting to get the flooding in the mooban around Bang Sue in Bangers. They have moved all the vehicles up towards Rama V bridge. My wife is freaked out. They are sandbagging as I type.

Our house out in Prachinburi has had some flooding, my house is right off a village klong and my 1979 Vespa P200e is parked in our wharehouse right next to it...my MIL jokingly told me that it had been washed away.. The house is built up around 5 feet above ground level, so no fears on that.

Hoping that all who have loved ones withstand this and come through safe and sound.

oops..

All that have loved ones in the effected areas withstand this and come through safe and sound.

May Buddha bless.

Sorry to hear that :(

Hope you make out all right and that you and yours don't suffer any serious damage.

It's all pretty sad to watch from the US. My wife has been pretty much glued to her iPhone, watching the news clips on Youtube.

Is there anything in particular that will help/hurt us in the interview? We want to be prepared. We're reading the embassy reviews, too.

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

I saved every receipt of every purchase we made in Thailand. Should I give that to them too?

FYI hashtag #thaifloodeng on Twitter is a great way to follow developments....amazing photos as well. Just be wary that there are ###### stirrers in the lot.

I suppose this will delay our Packet 4. Anybody know what's going down at the Embassy?

The news looks grim :(

My wife has been in touch with her family in BKK. Her mom is disabled and has diabetes. They live pretty close to the river. They have a farm up north and are thinking of going up there, but not sure if roads are passable to get out to north. I suggested they go south instead, but what do I know. I hope they can stay safe, it's looking really bad.

"VisaJourney coddles Nazi sympathizers"

Arai?

Yeah, it's true. There are some pretty nasty characters haunting this site and they get the same TOS cover the rest of us do. This is my way of protesting.

Appears Hua Hin is loading up with Bangkok'ers as well as Sin City ( Pattaya/Jomtien ) as some others south, but seems the roads are still water free. Heading north could be the problem..but depends where in BKK you're leaving from.

Still no water around the inlaws or SIL's mooban. All our Burmese workers have fled with several returning to their families in Burma. ( ? It's flooding in some parts of Burma as well..)

Rule number 4 of farang law. Always suggest things, but understand you're not Thai so have no clue on worldly affairs involving Thai's. But hey, what do I know...I must be thinking to mutt..

Choc dii to your family in the Realm. May Buddha protect them and keep all from harm.

Yeah I read yesterday that people were going to Hua Hin and Pattaya/Jomtien

Some Of Pui's family lives in Pathum Thani and they all left except for one of her brother and one brother-in-law, the rest of family went back home to her parents house about a week and a half ago. When I left for work today she had talked to her brother who stayed in Pathum Thani and the news was the floods were supposed to hit there during the night but I think they have been told that before and nothing ever came. Her brother works for the village where he lives so he has a radio to call the military that is around the village. She also has a sister that was living where the floods have already hit and nobody in her family has been able to get a hold of her, she did not want to leave her apartment. Hopefully her missing sister is found safe and soon.

Stay safe everybody and your families.

She left BKK to stay with her parents for a couple of weeks.

Living in Louisiana during Katrina, I saw what that did to New Orleans, I can only imagine what BKK will have to deal with.

My cousin's house is completely flooded in Pathum Thani. Destroyed. The electricty has been cut off and they've been told to move up to the 2d floor.

He bought a crotch rocket motorcycle a few months ago and was worried about it. He bought a zodiac inflatable boat, went back to the house and loaded up on his boat.

As he puts it.."to hell with everything else, my bike will survive".

The rest of the family in PT have escaped out to my village where it remains dry.

Anybody know if Future Park in Rangsit is still dry?
