Seems random: I just got off the phone with my wife. While she was there she met a girl going to Belgium. Previous to this visit the police certificate officers requested her to bring a letter from the Belgium embassy. Also, my wife was specifically asked for paperwork. I think they have different rules, perhaps, depending on the time of day.

Anyway, I'm just glad to be at this step in the process.

Your gonna get wet. Don't show people the bottom of your shoes, and don't touch older people on the head. Other than that get drunk and have fun!

ETA. They're gonna rub powder on your face. It's annoying because your eyes will burn. Just deal with it and move on.

I'm going to Italy this weekend!!!! My in-laws are taking us for a 10 days vacation in Venice and also skiing in the Alps. This will be the first time I'm going to another country using my US passport (I used Thai passport when I went to Thailand) it made me giggle when I think of it hehe.

Audi and Pui - Have fun at Songkran - it's a great holiday. Plan not to travel during that time and be open minded (some people goes crazy during this time around and y ou might encounter some weird strangers - if they're harmless, dont make that ruine your day) Most people are super friendly during this holiday, enjoy! And keep your wallet somewhere safe.

I'm back, and I'm in Thailand right now~

I'm just wondering, now that he's been with me in the USA for a year and a half, and I've come here to Thailand for 3 months, when I go back, what evidence will be needed for starting the K-1 Fiance visa? We're young, but determined, so we also want to know if we should hire a lawyer. Thanks!

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

hi niing,

if you have a straight forward case, no red flags and can pay attention to detail then you can absolutely do the paperwork on your own.

keep all relevant travel information, boarding passes, hotel information are good secondary information to accompany the passport stamps. since your fiance was here with you in the u.s. any photos of the two of you here as well as photos of one with the others family is helpful. it's been a long time for us but the i.o. did comment on the photos of my then fiance with my relatives while he was here in the u.s. before we petitioned.

you should make sure you are prepared for the i-134 and have domicile established in advance as well. double check with some of the more recent interviewess but i don't think bkk allows for co-sponsors.

best of luck!

When you say BKK, just Bangkok, or do you mean all of Thailand? Because he lives in Chiang Mai.

Niing, if you are going the k1 route I think you will have the interview in Bangkok. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong. For the police report you will have to go to Bangkok as well. There are two hospitals in Chiang Mai where the medical can be done.

I have a question about the vaccinations for a k-1 visa. Should I have Pui get them in Thailand or wait to have them here? She does not have any of her records from when she was a kid. If it is done in Thailand I know it is cheaper to go to a local dr and getting a record of the vaccinations then going to BNH. I emailed them and they said anywhere between 5000 and 7000 baht depending on what the dr thought. Does anybody know how much it would cost to have it done here? I guess I am trying to find out which is cheaper here or Thailand. I have a feeling Thailand is cheaper. I also have a feeling she would have had most of the shots already but not all.

Laugh!

AYUTTHAYA: Police are investigating a new form of underground lottery with a top prize of sex with a young woman.

Complaints have been received about a huai sieow (erotic lottery) operation, said to be gaining in popularity among male factory workers in the old capital, said Prawut Thavornsiri, spokesman for the Royal Thai Police (RTF) yesterday.

All police stations in the jurisdictions of Ayutthaya and officials with the RTF's Children, Juveniles and Women Division have been ordered to launch an investigation into whether such sexual lottery tickets are being sold in the province.

The erotic lottery is the first of its kind in Thailand, Pol Maj Gen Prawut said.

A source familiar with the lottery said the tickets are numbered from 00 to 99 and are sold for 30 baht each.

The lottery results are announced in parallel with the government's two-digit lottery in each fortnightly draw.

For each draw, there are two to four winners who are asked to choose the woman they want to bed from a photo catalogue of female sex workers aged between 18 and 25.

The source said customers are required to have sex with their chosen woman at a hotel provided by the lottery host within three days, or their prize will be revoked.

Jirapan Pimpan, Ayutthaya Provincial Cultural Council president, condemned the lottery operators as immoral people for valuing women's dignity at just 30 baht.

We are contemplating a month-long trip to Thailand in August.

To get the longest possible stay over there, if the flight arrives

in Bangkok on Aug. 3, would I as the farang be OK with a month's

tourist visa if we returned September 3?

I tried the Visa Calculator over at Thaivisa.com and when I

plugged in those dates, it came up with 32 days.

Would I be up for a fine/penalty if the total days were 32?

Is there any flexability?
