Joint Credit Cards

Just wondering how people are proving they have joint credit cards. The card is in my husband's name and I am an authorized user with my own card. My name does not appear on the bill. Any ideas??

Simply make a photo copy of the two cards together.

Other things like bank statements, and other bills should or may show both names.

In my case I included items that showed sharing same address, like Driver's licenses, State ID, College bills, etc...

The cards generally have the exact same number on the front of them and expire on the exact same date.

Bank of America put both names on the statements for authorized user and owner.

I did not enclose any bills or account statements when doing ROC. I did photocopy our credit cards, showing both names and the same account number though. Understand that you want to submit evidence of intermingling. You enclose only what helps making your case, like you would do in a court of law. If your account statements do not show both names, you do not enclose them.

That was my exact thinking. I photocopied cards because the statements don't show both names so don't prove anything.

I am enclosing a photocopy of the cards side by side and bank statements in my name (on which my husband is beneficiary) showing payment.

My husband is a joint account holder on our CC. I had them send me an email stating the date that he was added and sent a copy of that. (only my name shows up on the statements) I also send copies of the cards.

Authorized user is not the same thing as a joint owner.

AU can charge whatever but it not legally responsible for the debt, only the primary card holder is. Joint owner means both are responsible.

I've never had AUs show up on my bills, only once I made my wife a JO did she show up.

In case somebody finds this useful: American Express billing statements show the names that are on additional cards, even though the statement is issued in the name of primary card holder.

The cards, however, have a different number.
