Hey, guys! Just called NVC twice, and on both times, the operators told me that they cant give me the IIN, and they dont need me to give the beneficiary's email IDs, since the husband ( petitioner) will be emailed. WTH? Even told me there is nothing they can do, and we just have to wait for instructions. Grrr..

Has these happened to anyone? Why wouldn't they give us the IIN???? The 2nd CSR ( by the way, the name is Kim, wth an Asian accent) even said it will do us no good.

Hi All,

I just got my NVC Case and IIN . She said invoice is not ready. But I still wanted to log in and check. Here is what the website says :-

"Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error. "

Do you think its too early for me to check as I have not received the email yet and the operator said the invoice will take some time to get generated.

Thanks in Advance.

First off, you don't need the beneficiary ID number. That is only for those doing online forms, like Canadians.

As for the IIN, the operator that said it would do no good is a bunch of #######. It's needed for the payment portal. I'd keep calling and see if you can get an operator that can give it to you. I was able to get my IIN at the same time as my case number. If an operator refuses, tell them that you personally know people that have gotten the IIN from operators. Hopefully you can get it!

Now that you've sent all your packets, you're done! Just sit back and relax for your SIF and CC. Never heard of the DS 2001, so that's gotta be a K1 thing.

Great! I feel so totally accomplished. I can't believe the next step in this process is INTERVIEW DATE! It seems so surreal. I did overnight express (FYI DO NOT SEND OVERNIGHT UPS IT'S $50 USPS IS A FLAT RATE OF $18!!!!) so they should be getting the package tomorrow. I'm hoping I can have the SIF in 2 weeks. Although you've been waiting for 24 days, is it because Canada is more backed up?

It took two days for my AOS bill to appear. But the day after I got my case number, NVC closed, so it was technically the next business day. Your AOS should appear early next week.

At this stage, waiting for a CC doesn't matter on what country you're from. That's only when you're waiting for an interview date. For me, it's about 2 months from CC to interview for the Montreal consulate. And yes, I've been waiting for 24 days now. An operator tonight suggested that I re-send the documents by email since they still hadn't received/reviewed them. So, I did. headbonk.gif

I know! Thank you. I appreciate it very much.

I got the letter your case is shipped to NVC and I also got a letter from Angela saying that they've shipped my case. So I had double affirmation. It's only been a week since I got my case number. If you have all the documents ready it's really easy! And once the case gets to the Embassy that's a different story depending on what embassy you go through.

yeah...im basically screwed with my embassy, more waiting for sure. I will be lucky if my wife gets her interview a year from the date we started this process. The whole TSC fiasco really messed up any projected interview date

Hi Saylin,

On my first 2 calls, I mentioned that people were able to get their IINs at the same time as the CN, but still refused to give it.

After 5 minutes, I called up again. This time the operator gave the IIN. Hmmm..persistence pays off. But then again, why are some people just out to give others a hard time. Oh well..

Oh, the beneficiary number then is not for everyone..?

Do I send out an email now of the DS 3032 template?

Thanks..and bear with us, Saylin!

Yeah, I don't understand why some operators refuse to give the number out when they can. Glad you persisted though and finally got your IIN!

And nope, the beneficiary ID is only for those doing online forms, thus is not needed for most people.

Yup, you can send out the DS-3032 now!

you can send both AOS and IV packets in one envelope correct? Seems this would be easier, more cost efficient.

NVC

2/28/11- case number received

3/2/11- Paid AOS bill

3/5/11- Paid IV bill

3/12/11- expedite to Bogota consulate approved!!!

3/14/11- left NVC to Bogota for further processing

3/18/11- packet 3 emailed to Bogota consulate, email confirmation on March 23

Yes, you can, but you have to make sure each is separate and clearly labeled.
