Thanks Laraeyes.

Well, we called, and they simply want a copy of Val's bank statement for the I-864 - that is it. We sent one, but, what the heck...

They are prepared to take a copy over email, so it's not so bad.

I called a very smart lady, who was forthright in what was required, but when Val called to confirm, the operator she spoke to sounded quite confused.

I am wondering whether things are indeed like your and Ericks case, in that we have simply been shipped to consulate. I guess we'll find out soon enough. In the meantime, we'll gladly send an email copy of Val's bank statement.

AT LEAST we know they are working on our documents, and that's a relief - like your case Lara, London want the processing done at NVC before arranging an expedited interview. Looks like we are in identical situations.

Thanks for your supporting words. good.gif

That's odd... but at least they will let you send it via email. That's great news.

Need your help, I need a text shape that can help me to obtain an expedite(an example of the letter that must be sent to them). Can anyone send a PM please? Thanks.

I sent it to you but here it is again. Sample Expedite Email

Hi Guys, I am extremely happy…!!!!!!!!!my case was completed and sent to the Bogota Embassy..... I received the email 3/25, however, I never received the reply for the "expedite" request.... so I guess it was not approve, not sure but, 2 more months to go!!!.... My interview is 5/25.... Exactly 2 months.......I am almost done!!!!!!!

WOOHOO!!! Congrats !!!

How did you guys get expedites through NVC? Did I miss something? I called them yesterday and they said they received my DS-230 on the 22nd (I sent it Express on the 9th). It's somehow important that we get the interview by the end of June. Do you think we have a chance?

Sample Expedite Email

I just called NVC and the operator told me my expedite case has been accepted. It is so weird. It was rejected a week ago. I am now concerned if this will delay my interview day when my case is almost complete in NVC. I am kinda excited but not sure if I should worry. I am kinda clueless. I m praying God that it would be for good. Thanks everyone..

No, if anything... it will speed up the interview date. The Embassy/Consulate actually approves or denies the expedite... and then sets the appointment accordingly. CONGRATS!!!

My wife talked with 3 different operators. First told her to send a statement. Second the same and the last one just read to my wife the requirement"if lived in a different country for more than 12 months" and said "Oh I'm sorry" and put my wife on hold. Few moments after she said that have wrote to our case on their system that our documents do not need PCC from Finland since is less than 12 months. Hope to not need additional info from us and hope that our case will be complete. Once again I am surprised about all this, how is it possible to not now the request's for files that you process??? :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: .

Now wondering how long will take to have CC?

That's good that they cleared that up for you over the phone. We got a similar RFE for when my husband lived in China (for 10 months) and Taiwan (just under 12 months). The first operator I spoke to told me that after I receive the checklist email from NVC, I should send them something in writing explaining why we didn't need to send those PCCs. I waited 4 days for that email, which came on a weekend, and on Monday I sent out my letter along with passport stamps showing when my husband entered and left China and Taiwan. Before sending them out though, I thought I'd try calling once more and talking to a supervisor to see if there was any way to get it taken care of faster (e.g. through email or something), but she said I have to mail it. I'm just annoyed because we had to wait basically an extra week for the RFE, and now we have to wait for NVC to review our checklist response, which I imagine will take at least another couple of weeks.

After all of this nonsense that we've been through already, I'm so angry at these delays. I'm thinking of requesting an expedite, but it seems that from Val and Gary's experience, London won't really do anything with an expedite until processing at NVC is done (and I don't think there is any way to speed that part up). I might give it a try anyway. Haven't we been through enough already?

The supervisor told my wife today that the pack must be reviewed, and will take at maxim 10 days since yesterday. Hang in there. For me was difficult to translate the PCC because is in Finnish and Swedish language and is difficult to find translator for both. Plus the time necessary for the PCC to arrive in Romania and after time to arrive to my wife and NVC it will delay the process. That is the reason that we asked a supervisor to tell them that on travel.state.gov is not needed this PCC since I lived there less than 12 months as they also can see on DS-230 form.

Well, from what I understand London don't ALWAYS demand NVC processing - it's just that our fees were already generated before the expedite was approved by London, so they opted to do it this way.

I have to say though, even though we have been expedited all the way through our process, at the moment, the word EXPEDITE has done absolutely nothing for us. All we can hope for now is an expedited London interview. We still got the most ridiculous RFE from NVC, even though we are in supervisor assisted processing.

If you have a reason for expedite though, it's always worth the attempt. Go for it!

Well, after the dreaded RFE email which is enough to scare the pants of people (another form to complete, barcode, 6 to 8 weeks wait etc.. I am pleased to say our email of evidence was received and accepted yesterday according to AVR.

I HOPE TO GOD, that is all they need.

Quite WHY they needed Val to prove ownership of her checking account with a balance of below $500 is beyond me.

I also notice on the RFE email, it states they haven't received our DS230 - they HAVE, I am assuming they in-putted them on the system separately. Ironically, it then goes on to say it is far better to send the IV & AOS documents together. (We did).....UGHHH

Anyhow, all seems good to go...here's hoping we get more news today....kicking.gif

Yes, it seems so. We seem to have exactly the same scenario, and it's good to hear what you say. The operator I spoke to this morning was very snippy. Some are good, some are bad, but I got the general idea.

One thing both of us know - they are working on our cases RIGHT NOW - and that has to be good! good.gif

I just got off from the phone with NVC. I asked them why I just got an email from them asking PCC from Finland since I have stayed there less than 12 months. The Operator spoke with supervisor and get back to me saying to send and email to them and to let them now that is not necessary to send this form according with their website travel.state.gov. Huh, just hope to end this nightmare, I have ordered PCC from Finland by email and will be sent to my wife in California very soon, but this is going to delay our case a little bit if they will ask the paper and do not. Finland Police is very nice and helpful and trust me is very fast. The cost of this PC will be 11 Euro but at least will be sent in now time. Now if we could have CC this week it will be perfect. Hope to end this RFE nightmare.
