Yup, just the medical and interview left for you. That's all that's left. Really, really. yes.gif

laughing.giflaughing.gif I'm getting a different ad. They differ every time you go on I believe. That's a pretty funny ad to see though here on VJ where most of us are already in relationships.

I'm glad it was something small and that you are able to email it in. Good luck! I hope they finish reviewing your case this week and gets sent to London immediately.

Yes, we mailed a copy also. I find it very strange that Val has to prove ownership of her bank account - I mean, who else could it be? Weird? Question for you Saylin - can you have multiple RFE's? I mean, could they ask for another for something else?

Yeah, it's weird the RFE you got. Most people don't submit bank statements or anything, so it's weird they're requesting it from you.

I believe you can get multiple RFEs. If NVC isn't satisfied with the response you sent in or they found something else, then they can issue another RFE.

6-8 weeks is just a really general timeframe given by NVC and its operators. They want to cover their behinds just in case. Usually it takes about 2 weeks for them to review a package once it's been sent in.

I sent Iv documents on March 16, 2011. They just recieved today. Isnot it weird?

When you say 'received', do you mean NVC just received it in the building and you know from tracking by a mail provider, or do you mean they inputted it into their system? If you mean the latter, then it's perfectly normal as it usually takes 2 weeks to input packages into the system once they receive it in the building.

Yes, totally baffled by that request, as we have a joint sponsor also with more than enough income for support....

Perhaps :(

I have a couple of questions regarding the medical. Do you have to show the interview letter to get an appointment or can you just give them the NVC # and do the medical before CC? About the vaccinations, I thought they could find out if the person needs vaccinations or not from the blood test. I am hearing that you have to take proof of you vaccinations or they will make you take again if you don't show proof. Is this true?

Unless there is risk of extreme physical harm to someone in the immediate future, it makes no sense to request expedite based on your timeline, IMHO.

The case will be at Embassy soon, why take it out of normal processing line and risk it being misplaced?

My DOB is May 29 an I will like to spend this day with my wife. Is bad enough that we did not have the chance to celebrate 2 years anniversary and my wife birthday. This is the reason of expedite based on TSC delay and financial hardship. We will try it later this week.

I believe in Canada you need to have the interview letter before you're able to do the medical. Advance medicals are only possible in a few select countries.

Yes, if you don't have a vaccination record, you can have a blood titre test done beforehand (at a family doctor or clinic) to see if you still have the antibodies to previous vaccines. But sometimes the antibodies won't appear, so you might have to re-do vaccines. If you need vaccines, get them beforehand at a family doctor if you have one or a clinic as the panel physicians charge a lot for vaccines.

Thanks for the heads-up! I still have about a month before CC. I am waiting for a second PCC from my wifes birth country cause she migrated to Canada when she was 18. I don't want to take risks. It might pass by unnoticed but better safe than sorry. I could have sent what I have now but getting an RFE might delay it more so I will wait maybe a week for the report to come to send the IV packet. I don't know why they ask for PCC since the age of 16 when adulthood starts at 18.

How did you guys get expedites through NVC? Did I miss something? I called them yesterday and they said they received my DS-230 on the 22nd (I sent it Express on the 9th). It's somehow important that we get the interview by the end of June. Do you think we have a chance?

I don't know how the consulate in Germany is. If it was Canada yes you would have made it.

My wife needs to get a copy of the CR1 visa so she can ship her things. She needs 3 months advanced notice to cancel the lease on her apartment. She has a place to go but no way to move her things. Seems like it takes about 3 months to schedule the interview, I'm wondering if I shouldn't tell her to hang onto the apartment for another month.
