My fiance and I have been engaged for nearly two years now and are about to do another pre-K1 trip. Strange as it may seem there is not a single photo of he and I together.

The only pictorial evidence I have that we have ever been together physically is from this most recent Christmas, where there is one with his Dad.

Might this present an issue during processing?

Then take a few when you see her for this visit, I think that should be fine. How about emails, plane tickets, phone records, letters, chat/call history etc?

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

I'm curious as to why you guys didn't take one single picture together??? When I go to visit my lady, we take an average of 400 per trip...

Yes, you need a few photos for the application! It is a must!

Photos are important, but primary evidence is more important. That being said, there may be a question as to why no photos at the interview, so be prepared for that- is there cultural reasons, does your fiancee have a fear pf photography? Do you not like to look at photos together when apart? If you just forgot to take some, ask family and friends, they may have taken some you are unaware of...

I've found that it's actually hard to remember to take pictures of us together.

A lot of times, it's just the two of us going out somewhere and I'm far too shy to ask a random stranger to snap a picture of us. Luckily I have conscientious friends who helped me by making us pose or surprise-snapshotting pictures of us when they heard we were going to be going through this process. :innocent:

Wow 2 years and one picture? That must be some kind of record!

However, what Penguin said is true. Primary evidence is much more important than photos! I remember reading somewhere that another VJ member only submitted 1 photo with their petition - and theirs was fine. However when you are together next time make it a point to take some pics 'just incase'.

All the best!

I am now a pro at taking pictures of us (my fiance and I) by simply standing close and extending my arm and shooting our picture. The vast majority of our pictures together were taken this way and they do look nice :D

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Thanks to all who responded :D

Yes we have a ton of primary evidence, I kept every kind of receipt and ticket butt that ever fell into my hands :)

I've always been a bit camera phobic myself, and I guess we just never thought to do it somehow. Funnily we visited the Johnson Space Centre and they

took a pic of us together for "security reasons" and afterward said we could buy a copy for $26 bucks, wish I'd bought it now :/

I guess I'll make up for it on this trip.

Thankyou all :)
