Hello Everyone!

Hope all are well!

I'm trying to get some info or basically just advice. I wanted to know approximately how long it's taking other coiples for their spouse petition for 1-130 process...My husband and I applied back in July 23rd, 2010. Our case was then moved from California to Texas service center...It is now January 24th, and I haven't received anything other than the receipt notice/number back in Aug.2010. I am so worried for him in Mexico because it isn't good over there, and plus I'm here with our 19th month old. :( I called the USCIS, and was told to call back in 49 days!!! I'm so upset, but overall drowned in sadness. I miss him too much. We all do, and with my job I can't go visit him...Please someone give me a hint of the time it takes...God bless all of you who are going through this. It is sooo hard! Wish you all the best!!!

It's taking about 142 days to get the approval for I130. Then you have the NVC stage which takes couple of months. Since you don't have timeline filled in, I'm going to pretend your NOA1 came on August 1st. You should have had your approval already. What you need to do is contact your senator and ask them to call USCIS and push for the case to be complete quickly.

I think your from GA. You can go here http://www.chambliss.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?p=HelpWithFederalAgencies and contact you senator to help you with this matter. If you fill this out today, I'm sure you'll get your approval by this Friday. For futher help, post back. Thanks. Good luck.

You could write something like this:

Honorable Senator Chambliss:

Please contact United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regarding my case [case number here.] This case is outside normal processing time and it has not been approved. I have contacted USCIS national service center repeatedly and didn't receive an answer. I would appreciate your help in this matter very much.

Sincerely,

The NVC process doesn't have to take a couple months if you get your documents ready now. Search on this forum for NVC shortcuts and you could get out in 4 to 6 weeks (I think the record is 11 days or so).
