That´s what I thought too.

But I read today that someone´s got a letter from them and it says they should be sending it overseas within a week.

Weird. I had the distinct impression the letter was sent to let the petitioner know when the case was sent to the consulate/embassy.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Well, there you have it people, the letter arrives in advance, to advise the date of "transmit" overseas.

This website is beneficial, when the last post of a thread captures the truth. If someone responds further, advance the truth.

In this case, provided by rlt and Mew first!!!

William for your information I did not read all of the posts to this thread, OK, I was just responding to the OP question, so, forgive me if I in some way I made you think I misguided the OP, by posting something after YOU and MEW already posted, I didn't realize there was a freaking RULE against this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is someone posting something after you already gave an answer to the questions a problem with you, even though my answer was pretty much the same, jesus christ, what is your problem

When in fact, these letters state that your petition will be sent within a week, when that is not always true, I was just letting the OP know this and I am entitled to post to this website just like everyone else include YOU and anyone else.

snz1802,

OOPS, it was not my intention to irritate others who posted accurate information, as you did.

I was simply implying that others ensure that the "last" post included the accurate information.

Sorry about that. Friends?

First off, I am a recall. So, I received a letter from NVC today dated Aug 29, addresssed to me, but it says "Dear My Fiance's name:

The NVC has been informed that the USCIS reaffirmed this petition. As the NVC had previously completed the processing of this case, the file will be forwarded dto the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General listed below.

Then it lists the case number; my name, his name, preference category (K1-fiance of U.S. Citizen),

priority date: 06MAR2006, Foreign State Chargeability: country he was born in (not France where he lives now), U.S. Embassy/Consulate: Paris, Traveling Applicants (nothing listed), his name again, birthdate, and place of birth.

NVC told me on the phone, and via email that my petition had been reapproved and sent back to Paris on Aug 22. I still have not heard boo from CSC about reapproval, but at least this letter from NVC confirms that it was. And I'm going with the theory that our file was picked up by DHL last Fri, Aug 25, and received at the embassy Mon aug 28. I'm going to try to contact the embassy tonight to try to get more info. B)
