Name Change / Deed Poll Question

Hi guys,

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I'm not very good at them! Please move it if there's a better suited place for it.

I changed my name years ago when my parents got divorced, and all my documents have my 'new' name on them except for my birth certificate. The guide for filing the initial petition says we must post evidence of name change if the name is different to that on the relevant documents. None of the relevant documents at this early stage would have my old name on them, but there is a section on the I-129f that asks for any other names used. Does this need to be proved right away?

So, does this mean my US fiance needs the original copy of my name change deed poll, or will I only have to present this at my interview along with my birth certificate?

We sent a copy of the name change deed poll, as you won't receive the originals back...

So send copies in the initial package or not?

I (the beneficiary) sent a photocopy of both my birth certificate and a photocopy of the "official" deed poll itself (not one of the official copies you can get) and had no issues.

edit: By sent, I mean; sent to my fiance to include in the I-129f petition along with my G325a

So send copies in the initial package or not?

Thank you, I guess its no harm to send it just incase, dont want any hold ups!
