Confusion over supporting documents

I recieved my letter from the US embassy in London earlier this month, informing me to proceed witht the next stage. HERE is a link to the page with the instructions.

It says to complete the forms, which I have done, and send them to the embassy, THEN assemble supporting documents. However my ds156k says that supporting documents must be included with the form.

Basically I need to know if I send copies of my police certificate, birth certificate, deed poll, relationship evidence and I-134 from my sponsor with the DS156k and DS230pt1, DS156(duplicate), DS157(duplicate) and assemble the originals for my interview?

or can I just go ahead and send them without supporting evidence and bring originals and/or copies to the interview. (since I'm still waiting for my fiance's I-134 and my police certificate).

Thankyou!

Another question.

On form DS-157 it asks for the last 2 previous employers, not including current one. Do I have to explain why there is a gap between the job dates? because when I wrote mine out for the petition, I was told you couldn't have gaps and I therefore explained why I wasn't employed.

London only wants the forms mailed in. All your documents will be taken to the interview. Take photocopies of any document you want back...like your birth certificate. They will file the photocopy and give back the original. If you already have the required documents in hand, then mail the Readiness form (DS-2001)in the same envelope with the DS forms. Do the cover letter as they explain containing your email address, if applicable, date of your wedding and date of the medical examination. Just a hint, but if you say your wedding is next September, they won't be in a hurry to get your interview scheduled since you have loads of time. Get the medical done asap because they won't interview you until the results are in. London will NOT ask for or look at any additional evidence or photos of your relationship. You proved what was needed to USCIS with the petition. London will only check that you are eligible for a visa...crime, disease, financial support, etc

All you need for London at the interview is listed in the link on their step two. Bring what applies to you. The short version is:

Birth Certificate

Adoption Certificate

Passports

Marriage Certificates

Termination of Prior Marriages

Military Records

Affidavit of Support

Police Certificates

Court and Prison Records

Photographs (2 passport style)

Translations

Edit: forgot to say you don't have to explain why you were unemployed.

I believe you need US sized passport photos for both the visa interview AND the medical, so remember to get enough printed!

2 photos US size for embassy

1 photo for medical. They will accept either size. UK ones are smaller and fit their forms. They cut down the US sized ones.

1 photo UK sized for police certificate
