At the bottom it says:

Applicant: Print your name and Alien Registration Number in the box outlined by the heavy border below.

I don't have an Alien Registration Number (I'm a natural born resident) - so do I just sign it and leave the A# blank? Or do I not sign it at all??

Sorry in advance if this seems like a stupid question!

Here is the deal, leave nothing Blank.

There are answers to all questions.

"NONE" if None

"N/A" if it does not apply.

In your case the answer is N/A because a natural born citizen would not have an A#, it does not apply in the case of a natural born citizen.

But I still sign that box? It just seems to written in a way that only a person with an A# would sign it. Or, maybe, that's just how I'm reading it...

That box is not a signature box, you can type your name in that box and yes you still fill in those lines.

I would fill the entire form on computer, print out, and sign it using blue ink in the spot where it says Signature of applicant.
