Help with some questions (319)b/6 month validity passport requirement

Hello!

I have a question. My situation is this, I have been married with my USC husband for 3 years now. We are currently in Japan due to military orders. I applied for 319 (b), and I have my interview for naturalization this coming March 2011. I am from the Philippines and will be using my Philippine passport to travel to the states together with my greencard. I noticed that my passport expires on May 2011. I am worried if I would be subjected to 6 month validity passport requirement when entering the US or if the Japanese immigration would not let me get into the plane since I don't have the 6 months validity. Do I need to renew my Philippine passport or my greencard will suffice? It confuses me right now since after the interview and the naturalization we will be going be back Japan and if all goes well I'll be having the US passport.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

6 months validity should have to do with entry to USA on a visa, not for entry on a green card.

The green card allows stay in the USA well after a passport expires, and inyour case you will be naturalizing and becoming a US Citizen and will be applying for a US passport shortly after that.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
