okey my apologies for having multiple post please bear with me.

according to USEM requirements;

* Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for 6 months or more since age 16*

i have lived in bahrain for the past 8years, i did however successfully acquired a CID Clearance before i came back to manila in August. so far ive been here for 5 months now. my bahrain CID clearance says its valid for 3 months. do i need to renew it? or its okey since i got it before i left the country.

also since it says its required to have police clearance since i was 16, am i required to get one from kuwait since i was there when i was 18 then saudi when i was 24?

or its enough that i have bahrain CID clearance & manila NBI clearance.

anybody else who have experience and knowledge of this please?

The Embassy will treat police certs as valid 6 months even with the 3 month notation on the document.

Moving this to Embassy/Consulate forum, Police certs are needed at the interview, not when filing a petition.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

thanks YuandDan.

sigh its only 7am my time and im already so stressed out. thanks for clearing this. also been reading and i think i dont need to submit kuwait & saudi police cert since it says that only applicant residing can apply and not residing outside their country. plus those times were way back prolly 10years ago and i dont even have my passport of those anymore.

thanks again

This is what is says in the K1 interview instructions from the US Embassy in Manila:

g. OTHER COUNTRY POLICE CERTIFICATES. Applicants aged 16 years and older must also present police certificates from other countries where they have lived for six (6) months or more after reaching the age of 16. As with NBI clearances, foreign police certificates should be obtained in any maiden names, aliases or nicknames used while in the country in question, including different spellings you have used of those names. Country-specific information on how to secure police certificates is available on the State Department's web site at http://travel.state..../fees_3272.html.

So yes, if you were in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia for more than 6 months you need police clearances from each of them also.

Good luck

George

well i already checked on their website and it says i cant apply unless im still residing there. applicants residing outside kuwait & saudi cant have police clearance. im assuming that the embassy knows i cant get one so i'll submit my bahrain clearance and NBI instead

excuse me? well i dont need your sarcastic opinion!

i did read and research it was clear that theres no way i can obtain a police clearance from them coz i longer reside to that country. its my choice to take chances for what i only have. so you dont have to tell me to go buy a couch.headbonk.gif

Just an opinion, so that there would be NO DELAY in the future try to get police clearances in places where you have lived over six months since at the age of 16 and above..

You can check online where to get police certificates in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Maybe call Kuwait and Saudi's embassy

(here in Phils)on how to get....Just to clarify;)

I also have an expired police certificate from UAE(got it before i left the country). i hope they will consider it:)

Good luck girl:D
