my case it is done at the NVC .I do not have a visa number, how long will it take.?? next month citizen.

Why do you think if I change mys status ??

They'll usually upgrade the petition status within a couple weeks of proper notification of you Naturalization. This would be for an IR1 or CR1 visa though, not K3.

If the case is finished at NVC - then expect to be scheduled soon.

The 'lag' as a LPR petitioner occurs between USCIS approval and NVC 'arrival' -

so if NVC is DONE (you've sent in the DS-230 and I-864) then at some point,

soonish, NVC will finish the final review, and then lob the casefile into the

'appointment scheduling queue'. And you wait some more, anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks to get that appointment date set.

When you become a citizen, tell NVC about it, then send them what they ask for - they will forward all to the CONSULATE/EMBASSY IV UNIT, prior to the actual interview.

*** not a K-3 visa topic, moving to IR-1/CR-1 forum ***

Usually, the above is true but not always. I've been seeing USCIS go ahead and approve petitions and send them to do their waiting at NVC. Just go with the flow.
