I-134 Co Sponsor

Hi All:

A quick question... my mum was going to be our co-sponsor for our application; however, she has just found out she is going to be laid off.

Prior to this, she has made $65,000+ per year, and has a household of two (including herself).

She will be receiving a severance of $17,000 (her employer will write a letter and vouch for this), has $4000 from a sale of a house (recently), and will file to collect unemployment ($1500/month), but is confident she will be employed again soon.

Is she still able to co-sponsor us or would it be wise for us to seek someone else...?

Since her only current income will be temporary unemployment benefits, I would find somebody with a current qualifying income.
