Timeline

I'm a Filipina live here now in Northern CA.

Married to an American guy last Nov.13, 2010.

We already started our AOS last December and

we have received noticed from the

HOMELAND SECURITY recently.

My worry now is my passport soon to expire

this coming January 19,2011.

Can I renew my passport?

How will I get a new passport?

Will it be Philippine Passport or US Passport?

where will I apply and where to go to get it?

Please give me a right instructions and directions

to do this thing please I need your help VJ'ers!!!

I would imagine that you're unable to get an American passport, as you're not yet an American citizen, so you'd need a Philippine passport. Maybe if you call your local consulate branch, they can help you with your passport renewal. Here is a link:

Only US citizens deal with Department of State for applying for and renewing US Passports.

you can't get a US passport cause you're not a US citizen go to PHILIPPINE EMBASSY in CALIFORNIA i think they require a personal appearance

03.14.2011 -------I-751 sent overnight

03.15.2011 -------package says "Delivered"

03.30.2011 -------ASC Appointment Notice Received

04.22.2011 -------Biometrics Appointment

08.29.2011--------APPROVED! GC RECEIVED!

You may want to visit the Philippine Embassy website: http://www.philippineembassy-usa.org

Aside from renewing your passport, they will also require you to report your marriage (since you got married here in the US).

Note: The place of marriage determines which Consulate the report should be filed. Please check the Consulate Finder on the Philippine Embassy website.

N-400 Timeline

02-23-2018: Sent N-400 Application online

02-23-2018: Date on NOA, retrieved from online account

02-23-2018: Date on Biometrics Appointment Letter (Biometrics Appointment at Jacksonville ASC on March 13, 10:00 a.m.)

03-08-2018: Biometrics complete

04-05-2018: Case status updated - Interview Scheduled on May 10, 2018, 10:15 a.m. :D

05-10-2018: Citizenship Interview - Passed English and Civics Tests, Recommended for Approval! :D 

06-19-2018: Received email and text notification: Naturalization Ceremony Scheduled; waited for letter to be uploaded on online account - it has been set on Wednesday, July 25, 3:00 p.m.

07-25-2018: I am now a U.S. Citizen!
