Hello,

I joined here yesterday with my first post. My question about not having a glossy passport style photo (have a semi-glossy) for my fiancé was clarified (Thank you YuAndDan). My fiancé now will be having another one taken just in case. I'm almost ready to submit the package and am just waiting for one more signed document from Thailand. I would think I'll be ready by next week sometime. I'm hopeful everything will go through ok; though I'm prepared it could take 5-6 months. My paperwork has a coversheet and all relevant documents prepared in order. It might even be overkill, but I've included various photos (before, during, and after my visit), e-mails, receipts, boarding pass copies, stamps, etc. etc. Just to show that we're truly a couple and we met. I even took a picture of my fiancé signing happy birthday to me last week with her children and cake, for ongoing proof. It's taken almost 2 months to prepare (I visited her in early November), but that's pretty good going back and forth to Thailand with regular mail sometimes. Once I've submitted everything I'll start a timeline, as suggested here. I'm glad I joined VJ and look forward to sharing my experience with other's waiting to be with their loved one once again.

Get your papers in as soon as possible. My biggest regret was waiting a month after I moved back to California to get my papers together and file. If I had gotten it together earlier I would be reaching my 5 month mark right now and maybe getting my NOA2 instead of having to wait another month!

9/24- I-129F received by CSC

9/27 NOA1 received in mail

9/28- Check Cashed

10/1- touched

2/23- RFE email

2/28- RFE hardcopy

3/7- NOA2!!!!!

3/28- Interview! APPROVED!

4/7 - Jimmy arrives in the USA!

Yes, I'm just waiting for the signed personal statement from my fiance, then I should be ready. If it wasn't for that, I could've sent it it by now. At least I've gathered more copies of the receipts I had. I saved practically every receipt, pass, etc., and I'm glad I did!

Looks like you're on your way. Glad to have you onboard.

Thank you. Looking forward to sharing our experiences.
