Anyone else really missing being back in the U.K right now?

My beloved Chester City played there first game since ive been over here yesterday and got a last minute equaliser at Torquay! really hurts not being there!!

Yes, I certainly do start getting homesick this time of year, although it helps that my team (Portsmouth) is in the Premiership so I get to see them on TV at least (for example, today at 3pm EDT!).

All I've ever seen is the odd old Champions League game/Premiership game on ESPN, anyone have the Fox Soccer Channel, is that any good?

Fox Soccer Channel has most of the premiereship on it -- some are live, many are delayed, but that doesn't really matter with the time difference (as long as you don't log on before you watch them and see the score)

If you want Premiership games you don't have much choice, FSC is the only channel that shows them.

As for whether they're any good, well they show the football with English commentators during the game, but there's no decent pre-game or mid-game punditry (mid game is basically diet pill adverts), and the guy who does the "announcing" is f***ing annoying. Still, beggars can't be choosers and they do show more Premiership games on TV on FSC than they do on Sky Sports in the UK I believe (as Saturday 3pm games are shown, unlike in the UK).

My team is going thru a bad patch of growing pains. From a premiership relegation (and quite possibly the worst season in history) BOO! to Niall Quinn and his consortium buying the evil incarnate Bob Murray out YAY!, to us losing Julio Arca to Middlesbrough (fair dues tho, Arca wants to make his nat'l team and can't do that with us in 1st divis...he's a helluva guy and stood with us for a looong time) BOO!, to Kevin Phillips turning his back on us (you're a backstabbing gobshite b@stard, Phillips)BOO!, to Niall stepping down as mgr BOO! to Roy Keane becoming our new mgr YAY? (personally I'd have liked to see MicMac back, but he's elsewhere anyways

Sadly not, a few years ago they did show the 1st Div play offs, but I don't think they've done that for a while. I'm extremely happy that Pompey have managed to remain in the Premiership for 4 years (and hey, we're currently 2nd the in table, so maybe we'll do good this year!).
