I have not heard of that happening. Your question indicates you may be worried about such a call. If you are, there's a reason. When submitting an affidavit of support, you are required to state and document your current employment status. The Consular Officer, not NVC, makes the final determination as to sponsor qualifications. Always be truthful and accurate on all immigration forms and in all conversations with immigration officials. The consequences of material misrepresentations are severe.

They called me asking for my ex-wife... its not unheard of that they call.. just as has been said they are calling because of some red flag in the file info presented...

Please note that the OP didn't say there was any call. He asked if anybody had experienced such a call. Until confirmed differently, I don't see any reason to conclude any call was made.

If somebody asked if anybody had pregnant brother, would you assume THEIR brother was pregnant?

Thanks to pushbrk and Scottthuy. So ya never heard of any call to working place asking you are working right? I did not have any reason, just because my owner doesnot know english and she doesnt welcome to help me at all. SO Im doing by myself.
