OK, so I know I am probably a little late on saying what I did for Valentines day...but I did not want the surprise found. At this point, most of the surprise she knows about...the other part she will shortly, so it is OK.

So, back in December I sent a package to her thinking it would get there before I left on January 9th. It did not and was part of Christmas...ughhh! Anyways, I learned from that and so when I got back, I quickly picked up and shipped to her part of her Valentines. I say part because, well I could not put all my eggs in one basket, or in this case package just in case it did not get there in time. So anyways, here is what was in the package.

I got her a heart filled with chocolates, as she loves chocolates. The heart looked kinda like a tear and was pretty cool. I got a picture frame that said "Love" on it, and put one of our pictures in it. Got a heart pillow and a blanket that had many great things on it, including "I love you", "Together 4ever", "XOXO", and many others. So I bundled it all together in a bow and wrote a letter that tied together everything I got for her. She received the package yesterday and was VERY surprised!!

Now, to MY SURPRISE, on Monday I received a package. I opened it and wow, she had got for me (well and for her to) a wedding ring holder, with love birds. Here is a picture of it from Amazon... http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31t1I4mMtKL._SL500_AA300_.jpg Wow, was I surprised. Also I was surprised because she was off on Tuesday morning from work, and we normally do not get to video chat during the week, but were able too....VERY GREAT WEEK!!!

So, the last part of my surprise..is a video. I have been working on taking a English song that she loves and creating a video with our pictures during our time together. I plan on posting it later today so she has the weekend to enjoy it. Here it is for those that would like to see it.

Just think guys...last Valentines we will be away from our future spouse!!!! kicking.gifkicking.gif

That's a great video!!

Got a touch on my case today.

Guess that's USCIS's idea of a Valentine's day gift.

At this early stage, I doubt it means much of anything at all.

But worth noting.

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!! The last one alone...lol! Just opened cards with Matt on the phone, made me a little sad. On a happier note, I am going to Texas on Friday for a 3 day visit since I have a long weekend. I am a little nervous about customs and will have to do it here in Calgary. I will tell them that I am visiting my fiance for the long weekend and I'll have a copy of the k1 app, the NOA1, a letter from my employer, a mortgage statement, a utility bill and the return flight itinerary. I will only show the papers if asked/questioned about my intentions. Any advice?? Anyone visit the US since filing?

Happy Valentines Day to everyone :) Sorry have been missing from this thread (ever since i joined actually!!) But Im glad to see we have such a friendly bunch here! :) Hope this journey goes smoothly for all of us!

I am in Canada and am planning to drive over to see him this weekend..:)

I was just reading your posts about visiting..lets say im driving over from Canada, ...do I HAVE to say that I am going to visit my fiance? i can just as well say I am visiting family friends..(which I will be doing as well) I doubt they would know if they look at just my passport? WHenever I drive to the US (before I got engaged) they just asked me where I am going..and for how long..so Im wondering..pls help!

When I drove across the other weekend i just said i was visiting my b/f. I would not say your family because if they look on the computer and see you have a k1 visa pending they will think you are trying to hide something. They can see you have a k1 pending. I would also take proof of having ties in Canada so that they will know you are coming back. I had my employer write up a letter of employment, if you have a lease agreement take a copy as well, and any bills that are in your name. However, don't give out any information unless you are asked. Hope that helps! I will also be crossing the border this weekend.

That's a great video!!

Thanks. It left her speechless. Ironic since the song is "Word Don't Come Easy". It was a very great week last week. Now just if an approval would have come through it would have been an awesome week. Last Valentines day without her!!!

The videos are great. I finished the one I made over a week ago and Christopher loved it (Gotta Love iMovie  ). I'm a tin sad because my gift is still on its way. The delivery of my flower arrangement is delayed and they told him that I had to wait until 10 pm to get them. :( But I hope I do, it would be realy nice to have them by today.

Hope you all had tons of love!!

Diana

Hey everyone I got my NOA1 almost a month ago, I have been trying to enter my receipt number online and it says that my case can not be found, I know it happens to alot of people but is there anyway I can try and get it fixed by emailing someone? Also my fiance and I met when I went on a mission trip and well the place where he lives they don't get mail dropped at their house there is alot of poverty in that neighborhood, so I just put the names of the areas where he lives for his addresses and also under his work info we left it blank because he will do construction projects with other men when he gets the chance......is this bad? I put all the detailed information in for mine and I did put his phone number down, besides an RFE how could that affect our k1 application?

I had trouble being able to view my case status online as well.

My first suggestion is to call the service line @ National Customer Service Center (NCSC): 1-800-375-5283.

If the first representative cannot find your case status (which is very likely since it isn't available online) ask them to transfer you to a tier-2 representative. They will be able to provide you with case status information. You can then try to ask them if there is anything you can do to get the case available online.

People haven't had much luck getting them to do anything on the service line, but you can try.

After that, I suggest sending an e-mail to: vsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov

Inform them that you are 30+ days past your NOA1 date and you still cannot view your case online. Let them know that you have inquired using the service line and they were unable to help you. Ask them if there is anything they can do, or if they could let you know when/if your case will become available.

I can't promise this will work, but when I had this issue with CSC, I sent an e-mail to the followup address and it got resolved.

Worth a try.

Thanks for your help two cats, it is really appreciated! I did just what you said I included my name and my fiances name as stated on the noa1 and gave them my receipt number. Did they reply to your email or how did it end up working for you?
