I went ahead and updated the list of January filers again. We've got a few people who aren't updating on the timeline page and I'll admit, I'm not keeping up with posts lately.

This is Kata's last week here with me before he goes back to the UK. Right now, it's not looking too good with his boss for him to be able to continue to work remotely, which kind of sucks. He's got the medical a few days after he gets back, and will be sending in packet 3 forms soon.

After the interview, if all goes well, he'll go back up to Scotland for a week or two to figure out what he's sending over and what he's giving away to his family, and then he'll be over here hopefully before the end of summer.

Fingers crossed.

Not looking forward to next week Tuesday when I have to say goodbye again.

Saying goodbye is the hardest and even knowing that you'll be together soon offers very little relief. I know all too well how hard it is, as I'm sure most people on this site do. I am going to see my fiance next week, and I'll be with him for 9 days. Saying goodbye should be easier this time, knowing that we could receive our NOA2 at any time, but I know it won't be. It's never easy, it breaks my heart everytime. Then, after I cry my eyes out and there are no tears left, I remember to thank God for giving me a wonderful man to love...a man worthy of missing and crying for. :) Somehow, that really does make it better. Best of luck!

TwoCats gave us a set of instructions to kinda "figure out" how to track your package was by seeing all the packages sent out by NVC.

Here are the instructions reposted by TwoCats for us:

1. Go to: http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackRef

2. In Reference, enter the info as follows:

EXP DD MMM YYYYA

EXP is constant

DD is the date before the day the NVC said they shipped the case.

MMM is the three letters representing the month the NVC shipped the case

YYYY is the year the NVC shipped the case

A is constant

For example, if the NVC says they shipped the case on February 12 2009, this would be entered as "EXP 11 FEB 2009A"

3. Date range for shipment - From: Enter the date of the day NVC said they sent the case

4. Date range for shipment - To: Enter todays date

5. Keep the rest of the fields blank

7. Once you enter the info, press "Track"

8. After a while you will see a list of all of the packages that left the NVC today. You need to search for the specific consulate.

9. When you find the shipment the corresponds to your consulate, you will see the tracking number that you can record.

10. You can then track the shipment from the NVC to your specific Consulate

this didnt work for me... hmmm It just says "No Shipment found. Please revise criteria"

Just tried it, myself.

It doesn't seem to be working for anything sent this week.

(Maybe a problem in their systems?)

I tracked our package last week using the instructions and watched as it arrived in Beirut within the span of 2 days....they called him on Monday and asked him to pick up packet 3 on Wednesday afternoon. He just has to schedule the medical and fill out the forms and emaili the embassy to get an interview date as soon as they have an opening....hopefully that will be 3 weeks from now....so excited to have him here very very soon :)

Contacted Vancouver today and they don't have anything yet. Should I call and ask NVC my status or will they freak out since it hasn't been 4 weeks? Hey EVERYONE! I have a question regarding affidavit of support.. On question 11, it asked if " intend or do not intend" to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3.

If you check intend, indicate the exact nature and duration of the contribution. For example, if you intend to furnish room and board, state for how long, and if money, state the amount in US dollars and whether it is to be given in a lump sum, weekly or monthly and for how long.

Hope anyone can answer :crying:

Thanks Everyone!:innocent:
