Any updates from anyone so far about their interview letters ? Looks like Cherry23, Ashburn and Gsieffe haven't yet done their fingerprints. Please update your profiles if you haven't already. Also it seems Atlanta and New York are a little backed up unless its that stupid name check thing. I'm thinking of making an infopass appointment next month if I don't hear anything by then. This should rank as one of the top most sorry a$$ service one can get for paying $680. Wonder where all this money goes. Even Verizon Wireless has a better service :D

Basab - which number did you use to contact FBI-IAFIS to check on the status of Fingerprints?

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

We dropped the N-400 application in the mail Dec 29. Tania had her interview March 14, she passed easily. She's not eligible for a decision until Saturday the 26th. Her 3-year green card "anniversary" is the 25th.

FWIW: This morning's Indianapolis Star had a small blurb about a Newsweek Magazine survey of 1000 citizens taking the test. 38 percent failed. For example, 30 percent couldn't name the VP. 73 percent didn't know about the cold war. 44 percent couldn't define the Bill of Rights. :(

Good luck, although I'm sure "luck" is not needed. A little preparation and planning makes one appear "lucky" to others.

BTW: My little quote about the low passing rate of U.S. citizens and residents was a jab at the poor level of "common knowledge" of Americans, not the difficulty of the test, which is easy.
