No USCIS case status online

Hi,

I applied for ROC in November 2010. I received NOA1 and biometrics notice. I did my biometrics on Dec 17, 2010.

I tried to look the status of my application online using both application receipt numbers from NOA1 and biometric notice, but I still could not get the status update online. The message I received was "•Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283."

Is this normal? Does anybody else have the same problem like me?

when you received you appointment letter for biometrics, look on the letter for a different case number,use the new number, EAC1212121212 IN CAPS no spaces.see if that works

I did try the application number from the appointment letter for biometrics, but it still did not work.

just for your info there is alot of us cr-1 filers in Nov/Dec that is not showing up with receipt numbers from our noa1's we are getting the same error u are getting...alot of us called and they said up to two months to show up online or maybe never :blink:

Same here... I have my Biometrics letter and I am scheduled for Jan 12, but I can't add that number to my portfolio online, it still says "not valid" . Who knows.. as long as they have it and they're working on it I'm ok with that :yes:

hi,

I was done with my biometrics before and today I tried to check my status online and it went through. I tried to check it before but it didnt work and so I just didnt care anymore because I know that I can just call them if I want to know my status but then today I tried it and I was able to see my status it was updated 12/29 which was yesterday my biometrics schedule. :) happy new year to all. :)

My case was finally recognized on-line. So to all those who still can't see their status online even after the bio-letter, it looks like it just takes some time for USCIS to enter them all in :thumbs:
