Greetings all!...after some procrastination and all types of moods on both sides, well my side more, we adjusted a little bit to this new "language" of papers, today my hubby send the I-130 form!...We are going to follow both routes with the K-3..I feel like running after 2 rabbits in the same time, or like waiting to be baptized by the USCIS, NVC and all the other "stations"....Amen! lol...What a feeling!!!

CR-1, VT- Canada

I-130:

25 Aug 06 - Sent I-130 (a Friday)

28 Aug 06 - NOA1 & Certif. receipt returned ( a Monday) Day 1

29 Aug 06 - USCIS cashes check

30 Aug 06 - check cleared & 1ST TOUCH.

01 Sept 06 - NOA1 recvd by Mail

09 Sept 06 - 2ND TOUCH (a Saturday)

09 Mai 07 - NOA2 (2 e-mails)

Note: were told the long delay due to huge backlog and internal changes in VT

NVC :

04-June-07 - NVC generates DS-3032 & AOS bill

12-June-07 - AOS Bill payment sent/ alien receives DS-3032 form (by mail, dated 4th June)

13-June-07 - Alien sends back completed DS-3032 (by mail)/ rcvd 19th of June approx.

To mid July-07 - I-864 form sent completed and IV fee bill

19-July-07 NVC rcv I-864 form; mail signature rcvd.

22-Aug-07 Ds-230 with documents sent to NVC.

20-Sep - 07 Alien sends NVC Missing document. NVC receives it the 25th.

05-Oct - 07 NVC completed.

16-Jan - 08 Interview, 3 questions asked, visa approved same day, received 1week later approx.

Note: delay due to internal delay, missing document (not rfe) and self procrastination of understanding some abstract terms. C Post not at all reliable (delivery duration, delivery with signature (did not deliver personnaly), and delivery of interview letter rcvd after the interview).

In USA:

01-03-08 POE Entry in USA

...-03-08 2 Welcome in America letters and green card received.

8/27/06 - got confirmation email from Consulate, they rec'd packet three

8/27/06 - requested interview date via Consulate internet site.

9/1/06 - Checked internet site for interveiw date, it was there

9/25/06 - Interview date - APPROVED

9/28/06 - Visa in Zaeems Hand - YEAHHHHH

1/6/07 - leaving for USA

1/20/07 - Wedding Date

1/20/07 - MARRIED!!!!!

2/10/07 - rec'd certified copy of marriage license

3/13/07 - AOS package rec'd at Chicago Lockbox

3/20/07 - Rec'd Social Security Card

3/21/07 - Checks Cashed and Case Status online

3/24/07 - NOA1 Rec'd for AOS and EAD

3/27/07 - rec'd Biometrics appt letter - scheduled for 4/20/07 @ 11:00am

4/02/07 - "touched"

4/20/07 - had biometrics appt.

4/21/07 - rec'd letter stating case was transferred to CSC

5/22/07 - rec'd Case Pending at CSC email

6/25/07 - EAD card production ordered

7/7/07 - EAD "touched"

7/7/07 - AOS "touched"

8-6-07 - Rec'd EAD Card in the Mail

5-20-08 - AOS INTERVIEW - APPROVED - PASSPORT STAMPED

7-2-10 - Received 10 year green card in mail

I agree with Dina. This is a Great site. Unfortunately I was late in finding this site and only applied for the CR-1 visa. If I could go back I would had also applied for the K-3 visa. It has been 16 months and counting from the time CSC received my I-130 and just recently the name check was completed for my wife. The case is forwarded back to China and hopefully (crossing my fingers) she will have an interview date in the next couple weeks. This whole process is a real test of patience and at times it can drive someone "crazy". You will get good news about the case finishing one phase and then it will seem like it is taking forever to finish the next. Depending on where your wife is from the process is faster or slower. Be patient. I know it is easy to say and hard to do but try. I have been trying for 16+ months. :wacko::blink::lol::thumbs::wacko::blink::lol::thumbs::wacko::blink::lol::thumbs:

Visa Approved! Interview Completed.

Visa Delivered by DELBROS October 28th, 2006

October 30, 2006 Arrived back in LAX with Melinda, were going to Disneyland!!!

November 6th, 2006, Melinda and I are back home in Winslow Arizona loving Life!

I'm sorry you had to wait so long!!! I remember reading somewhere that the Cr-1 route then was faster!..But now all is almost done !!! you two must be so happy! Imagine, we are just in the beging!...

Well come to painful wait for visa it sucks but fun also!!

TimeLine

December 8 2004: Filled I 130

Jan 27 2005: approval and priority date which was Dec. 30 2004. NOA1

March 2nd 2005: Received visa processing fees and Affidavit of support fee Bill IV

March 5th 2005: Send fee bill via Registered mail.

March 7th 2005: Got message that they have received the Fee bills and in process to generate the I864 and DS 230.

Long wait of period then:

Exactly 25 working days later

April 26th 2005: Got package at lawyer office.

April 29th 2005: Got DS 230 Signed from my spouse from India.

May 1st 2005: Mailed express(Fedex) overnight the package.

May 5th 2005: Case completed.

May 11th 2005: Case sent to Indian US embassy(Mumbai)

Waiting for interview date now.

YEAH...Finally.. the date is here.

July 13th Interview(Exact two months after case completed at NVC and sent to Mumbai Embassy)))))

June 20(approx) Police Clearance.

1st July Medical!!

13th JULY Interview and APPROVED!!!

HAPPY REUNION on 18th of JULY after 7 months and 5 days of Sending out the I 130 to interview approved!!

17 July Got Letter 797 for Green Card issuence!

28 July SSN Card.

8 August Green Card recieved.
