I don't know if asking people right after Christmas for $800 is a good idea. Maybe you can get a credit card or ask for loan from a financial institution? Good luck!

we are not asking for $800 we need a joint-sponsor but thank you anyway

I do believe that soliciting for a Co-sponsor is a violation of VJ's TOS. I seem to remember another member who was a bit more blunt than you in asking and the thread was closed with a warning from the Mods.

We do ask that our members not solicit things like Co-Sponsorship/similar - probably for a number of reasons, but some main points might be:

  • Requires someone sending potentially confidential documents to someone they don't really know.
  • It makes others feel uncomfortable
  • Such a co-sponsor (from someone unrelated) may not be the answer anyway.

To name a few.

If I recall....he/she has asked for a cosponsor before. It is plain ludicrous to think that anybody would be willing to put themselves out for a virtual stranger...just sayin...
