hello everybody,

USCIS received my papers on December 1st, and i ve been waiting to receive my letter for biometrics. today i checked my status online and i saw that on Dec 20 th they sent me a letter for request for additional evidence. i havent received the letter yet, probably tomorrow. But i m freaking out because i thought i sent enough evidence. I sent the form N400, all the tax returns for the past 3 years, birth certificate, marriage certificate, joint checking account, joint auto insurance, bills, 2 photos, and now they want more evidence...i sent everything i had... i have no idea what else i can add to this...and i m so scared :(

Has anybody been in a similar situation, getting RE before even getting biometrics, if yes i would like to hear your stories...

thank you

For the most part, a RFE status online in a citizenship case is the biometrics appt letter. If they require anything else from you, you'll receive a yellow letter right before your interview. Don't worry, you're covered.

All the best to you.

The earlier responses are good enough to curb your curiosity. I did have the same information on-line but it turned out to be my biometrics when I received the hard copy via USPS. Indeed, I also freaked out but as has always been the case, Vjers gave me the needed information to calm down. So sit back, relax and get ready for your biometrics.

It's amazing that people need extra information to calm down. You would expect the USCIS to figure this out by themself. You have to pay them enough for their services so one expects to receive correct non-confusing information for that money. Non of that... they keep sending you misleading info. It's normal. Most immigrants during the process don't want to make waves. Afterwards most don't care anymore and those that do are too few to start something. So the monopoly of the USCIS can do almost anything they want.... like sending stupid misleading information. Maybe VJ should set up an official body for immigrants and filing worries and complaints from immigrants towards USCIS. Just a thought.

Stepdaughter must be lucky, just received her biometrics appointment letter, we ignore that on-line #######, and for the last six years, has been ####### and misleading. But the real problem is that your congressman, anyone at the USCIS, and the ombudsman believe in that ####### they post. Have to give the Department of State credit for openly admitting their on-line status is a load of #######.

Yeah, was some concern about whether the AOS would let my wife come here, but just thought screw it, if they don't, would move to her home country. Was really a lot of stress with that stupid I-751 when they have loads of exceptions to still remain here even if you don't have a valid marriage, but really had problems with my wifes' employer and the DMV with that stupid extension and time running out. But with US citizenship, she was good for ten years, so who really cares, that is the only time for us that things went smooth, because we didn't care.
