Darcy called when he got Packet 3. We were quite suprised it came so fast. Anywho, he was totally freaking out over the police cert. He has lived many many places in Canada. He was freaking out thinking he had to go to all the different places he has lived and get a police cert. there. LOL! I calmed his worries and said that the RCMP check that he has already gotten is what he needs. OMG! I thought he was going to have a heartattack over it. I told him well if you visited VJ more often you would have known this.

I hear ya.... I've given this site to my husband many times and I think he has yet to visit it... but of course he keeps asking me all these questions about the process... geesch LOL

i didnt find VJ till almost the end of my journey. I to thought I had to get paperwork from every city!! Phoned up the RCMP and they siad no as it covered al of Canada, whewww!!

Yup, my husband in Toronto knows about this site but it's too much for him to wade through. I'm the designated driver when it comes to research and forms. It's a natural division of labour in many marriages, I suspect. This is a tough process to get your head around, so I try to keep him informed by phone. But my summaries sound confusing, even to me!

We've known each other 18 years and were good friends before there was any romance. So we're better equipped to live through a long separation. I feel sorry for the hotheads who are madly in love and incensed the government is "unjustly keeping them apart."

Hey, he isn't the only one that freaked out initially about that! We found VJ after we submitted the K-1, and I found out about the police certificate -- I was in a panic until my dad talked to one of his RCMP buddies who said one covers all. That seriously made my day.
