RFE? When? After NOA1 or Biometrics?

Here is my question: If something is missing, when do we get the RFE notice, after NOA1, after Biometrics...?

I ask because I was kind of rushed by the fee increase, and didn't send a LOT of evidence, and would like to know when in the process you get RFE, just to be prepared to send more stuff if I need to,

I got my RFE after Biometrics, completed bio 8/20/2010, received RFE mid September and was only given 30 days to respond. I filed 751 divorce waiver and its really hard to get all the documents after being divorced. I havent heard anything else to date.

usually after biometrics. Not until they take a look at your file, which happens much later than biometrics.
