What happens when NVC receives approved !129f?

Hi,

Could anyone expalin to me what happens after NVC receives the approved I129F? What's the process?

3/24/11 Received 10 year Green Card in the mail - Done. Feels good :-) 'till we do this again for US Citizenship.

12/5/11 mailed packet for Naturalization

12/9/11 was received by USCIS.

4/6/12 received letter for fingerprint appn.

4/23/12 9am fingerprint appointment - done :-)

4/30/12 Recieved Letter for Interview - Sche. 5/31

5/31/12 Interview & Testing

5/31/12 Testing Approved - Waiting for next step

6/21/12 Rcvd email, placed application in the oath sched. que :-)

6/25/12 Rcvd letter - Oath Ceremony is on 7/11/12 @ 9:15am :-)

The NVC will send the info to the embassy in the fiance's country as well as a notice to the USC. The embassy will then send a packet with forms and instructions (country specific) to the fiance.

Timeline:

11-15-2005: Sent in I-129F to VSC

11-21-2005: NOA1

11-29-2005: NOA2

12-05-2005: NVC recieved

12-17-2005: Packet 3 received from Dublin

1-11-2006: Sent packet 3 forms, etc. to Dublin

2-03-2006: Interview Date :)APPROVED!!!

2-05-2006: Flying to Logan Airport

2-11-2006: Wedding Date

3-14-2006: Filed AOS and EAD

3-22-2006: NOA1 (AOS and EAD)

4-07-2006: Biometrics

6-07-2006: EAD approved!!

7-24-2006: AOS Interview APPROVED!!!

7-27-2006: Received Welcome to America letter

8-03-2006: Green Card Received :)

Generally the case will only stay at NVC a short time (pit stop) before its off to the Embassy.....unless it gets held up with Security Checks. Have a look at the K-1 Flowchart for an overview of the whole process.

Claudeth's petition was only there for a few days and then off to the embassy so about the only thing I could tell that they did was assign the Manila case number.

From NVC it goes to your fiancé(e) country and packet 3 is sent out to them.
