NOA 2 question

Hello,

I received our hard copy NOA 2 today, and it stated that "The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions abou visa issuance..." I thought all of these petitions go through NVC. Do you get a notice that it has gotten to NVC or what? Is this a standard statement listed on all K1 Petition NOA2s? Just need to know what the next step is. This is a little confusing.

Normally the letter would read approved and sent on to NVC to be given a case number then will be forwarded on to beneficiaries consulate/embassy. You will then receive email or letter for packet 3 (and you would see your case number), which is all the documents and forms needed for beneficiary interview. You don't have a case number yet so can't see how you can call consulate about visa. Hope this helps.
