Expedited Processing

Does anybody have experience with Expedited processing for K-1's? I put in a humanitarian request because my fiance is in Haiti. Besides the earthquake we now have the cholera epidemic and political unrest to contend with. I want to know if expedite actually means that, or how long we'll have to wait.

You will have to gather proof and send it in to request an expedite. Its up to them to deside if your able to be given an expedite. ETS is generally 10 days from the request that you should have a result on if they approved it or not for expedite.

I have submitted the evidence, now I'm waiting. They told me it would take five days for them to tell me whether or not they will expedite. Basically, I want to know how long expedited processing takes.

They will either approve your request or not, then your petition will be looked at and they will deside if they are to approve it or not. Then it will be sent to NVC then it will be sent to the embassy on a faster track than "regular".

Less than 5 months. Now this is just for the USCIS approval. There is no guarantee about how quick the Embassy will approve a visa, if they even decide to do that. Expedite just means to get to the interview stage quicker.

Just because your fiance lives in a bad place doesn't necessarily qualify them for a humanitarium approval.

That says that you fit the bill and will get the expedited processing. Good luck and early congrats....sad and sorry though for the reasons for this.
