Booking medical before Interview date assignment

My hubby and I received our case close notice on Nov 30th and haven't received the interview date yet, but i'm sure we'll receive it soon. Is it okay for him to get his medical now or will he need proof of an email confirmation or proof of an already assigned interview date with him? This is in regards to the UK, London embassy in particular of course. Thanks!

USCIS JOURNEY

Sent I-130: 4/1/10

NOA1: 4/13/10

NOA2: 9/30/10

NVC JOURNEY

- NVC Case Number Assigned 10/14/10

- AOS bill and Agent forms received by email 10/29/10

- Email DS 3032 10/15/10

- Hard Copy sent 10/26/10

- Scanned Copy sent 10/27/10

- AOS Bill Status: Paid online 10/25/10

- AOS Package Sent via Priority Mail 10/27/10

- AOS Package Delivered to NVC 10/29/10

- IV Bill Received & Paid 10/29/10

- IV Bill Status: Shows as PAID 11/01/10

- Sent IV Package Priority Mail 11/02/10

- IV Pack Received at NVC 11/04/10

- IV Pkg Entered into AVR System 11/17/10

Try posting this on the UK forum for regional answers. I know in Canada you can only book the medical after you have your interview scheduled, but that may not be the case for the UK

Yeah..it's better to get your medical examination prior and closer to the interview date. Here in Morocco, the consulate doesn't appreciate medical tests taken more than 2 weeks prior to the interview date. So, i guess just wait for the scheduling of your interview, then assign the medical test.

I THINK (but not 100%) that London is now not booking interviews until they know youve had your medical? Someone correct me if im wrong?

Either way, I would suggest having it sooner rather than later as it is valid for a while (a year, i believe, but again, not 100%!) so im sure it would still be fine as your interview date shouldnt take long to come through!

as soon as you have your case number assigned at the nvc you can book your medical examination at knightsbridge doctors. for immigrant visas its the bentnick mansions location.

Thanks for the info guys actually we just found out earlier today by NVC that we have a scheduled interview on Jan 13!! We're sooo excited! My hubby is doing is medical this monday :thumbs:
