Hello,

I had my interview today in BAltimore, MD. The appointment was for 1pm and was seen bythe IO close to 1:20 pm. She was pleasant. She made me swear first and then proceed to verify all the informations on my application. She made small notation as she moved along.

I decided to add my husband last name - to mine. She made the change on the another page, printed up and had me signed.

She spend time on the section on the travels abroad. I have been out close to 16 months. All of that time had been spread over 6 trips in Africa. Each trip was always less than 6 months. She even matched up the informations with the entries on my passport. She asked why did i spend so much time overseas. I explained that my mother has not been well and that i want to enjoy her as long as i could. She asked for the bith certificates of my 2 sons and wondered if we already had file for the 2010 taxes. I said not yet.

She review all the yes-no questions. She then asked me the 5 questions. There were quite easy:

1)who is the vice president. 2) how many amendments are they. 3) why dis the colonist fight Great BRitain 4) on the 4 amendment who can vote unfortunatly 5) what is the name of the ocean on the West coast.

The writting sentence was also an easy on: all citizens can vote.

She made me signed all documents and i also had to review the info that would appear on my naturalization certificate.

As i tought this is was a winner, she informs me that she did not have a chance to review my file and a decision could not be made yet.

Imagine my surprise!!!!!

Than she says she has up to 120 days to decided but if I did not hear from her within 60 days to either call or get an info passe. She then got up, congratulated me on passing the test and walked me out..

The all process took close to 25 minutes.

I really had the feeling that would be a walk in the park as I filed under 3 year rule. My 3 men are usc and i still am a Belgian.

My husband keep telling me that all will be fine and not to stress about it. I have mixed feeling about the experience but I am a child of God and therefore I am claiming that victory. I know that a positif outcome will be end result.

My journee with immigration and visa journey continues.......

03/25/2011 I received the Passport, FINALLY US Citizen, thanks god :-)

Thank you! BTW: We stopped off at the post office and filed for an expedited passport on the way home from the ceremony. Ten days to two weeks, we end our VisaJourney that began December 2006.

Tomorrow is the big day... 10:35am PST I will be at the Santa Ana office for my interview. I won't lie I am pretty nervous. 16 hours to go folks, wish me luck (no prayers please ;) )

Hi Bradcanuck,

Hope your Interview went smooth and aproved. I had my interview in santa Ana office last week on the 22nd feb, and approved, now waiting for the oath letter. Can you please update me about the oath when will we have it. Did they they give the approved letter and say anything about when the oath letter will arrived.

yea i got an email about the status update to "Testing and interview" and apparently when you get that status update, it means that they have sent the interview letter out already. so you count like 7 days from the status update day and that when you get the interview letter in the mail. or at least that's what happened in my case

Checked my online status today .. .moved to Testing and Interview 26 days after F.P :dance: No e/mail /Text as of yet...who cares? im moving moving..:dance:

He told me my Oath letter will go out and I will more than likely be scheduled for the 24th, but there's no guarantee. He also suggested I get passport photos taken and download the passport application from the state dept. website and take it to the Oath ceremony so I can send it in right away.

I have a feeling I am going to get pushed to April for some reason, which is bad news. But only time will tell - now waiting one final time on USCIS... for the Oath letter.

Congratulations!! I thought once approved, the oat ceremony is on the same day. Or is this only true for some offices? I think in Seattle the oath ceremony is on the same day.

So I had some time at work today to call USCIS at the 800 number to check on my case. I first talked to a nice lady who read me my status online after I gave her my application number. After I mentioned that I can see what she said online but I need to know what happened to my interview letter since I received a yellow letter already and whether I’m in line for interview or not, she said that the LA office is still working on applications received on or before JULY 24, 2010!!!! :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: Then, she transferred me to another very nice and professional officer who before I ask him anything he answered all my questions. He said I was put in line for interview on Feb 14, 2011 (Exactly one month after my original FP date and yellow letter was dated Feb 15,2011), but since I live in one of those big cities like LA, Miami, Chicago, New York… I expect to wait between THREE to FOUR months to be scheduled for interview :wow: :wow: :wow: . He said everything is OK, but I have a LONG time to wait since I live in Los Angeles where interview schedule is very tight. :bonk:

The bottom line is, the date on your yellow letter is the date when you were scheduled for interview, and if you live in one of those big diverse cities; don’t sweat it if your processing time takes way longer than other folks you see on here.

Good luck to everyone, now I know I will be away from the USCIS website and the immigration forum for a while and be on a nice intermission from USCIS! :whistle: :whistle: :whistle:

Well, well ... finally my 3rd Interview Letter arrived and as I was told by the USCIS customer service it is indeed March 22 @ 7:15 Am . It is one week later for my first schedule and a week earlier of my second interview schedule. This must be the final schedule for me.. hopefully....Thank God for that!
