St. Lukes - Call before?

I need this question settled... I am pretty sure i have read here that St. Lukes is first come, first served, no appointment needed. You just show up with your papers.

My wife talked to some friend or relative who got a visa and she swears we need to call St Lukes in advance before we go because of what her friend/relative told her.

Which is right?

The only reason you'd want to call ahead is to make sure they are open during a holiday or a typhoon.

Other than that, there is no need to call to make an appointment. As long as you have your NVC case number and your NOA2, your spouse can go to SLMEC without an appointment (having the Embassy interview appointment letter would be a bonus, but I can assure you many VJ members from the Philippines have been able to get their medical done with just the NVC case number and the NOA2...unless their rules have changed drastically).

Make sure she has her 2x2 ID pics too, and other information she needs to fill out in the forms, like your US address and phone number, your employer name and job title, etc.

IF your wife was previously married and her marriage was annulled, you'd be surprised to know they want to see the spouse's annulment papers (to check which party was psychologically incapacitated)...so if that's the case, she should bring those documents also.

If your spouse was previously diagnosed and treated for TB, she would need to bring proof that she was treated.

Also are spouses allowed to go in and wait with the filipinas or are only the filipinas allowed in?

Yes they are allowed (you'd have to show a photo ID). But depending on what time you guys decide to go, there are not a whole lot of places where you can sit. Best to go on Tue or Wed noon.
