please help our case lost

our case has been transferred from London embassy to Abu Dhabi embassy. I caled Abu Dhabi embassy today and they told me our case is lost. Nobody has it. What they are going to do now? what will happened now?

What type of visa are you applying for? What are the dates involved?

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I applied K1 Visa for my fiance to bring him over here. NVC sent our case to the wrong embassy which is London Embassy. We wanted to have our interview in Abu Dhabi. So they transferred the case on July 28 from London to Abu Dhabi. But since that time none of the Embassies doesn't know where the case is. I contacted the Abu Dhabi and they told me the case is lost.I don't know what to do.

If I were you I would call and ask more qestions! London embassy must have sent your case to Abu Dhabi by certified mail so they have a mailing receipt or something (maybe DHL?). They can't just lose your case and then be like whatever, we don't know where it is! Call London again and demand they look into it.

I agree you should ask more questions: for example, do they want you to wait in case it turns up? Did they tell you if it went in a diplomatic pouch?

Also contact your elected representatives to get things moving.

We received a letter on July 16 that your case has been transfer to U.S embassy in London which we did not request this. We wanted to have the interview in Abu Dhabi. On July 28 the Embassy in London transferred the case to Abu Dhabi. Since July 28 the Abu Dhabi did not receive the case yet. Is this normal? What should I do? How long do I have to wait?

Have you not contacted your senator or congressman? It was suggested you do that in your last topic about this.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Yes I did. But I do not know what is she doing. Everytime I call her, she tells me that I contacted the embassy of Abu Dhabi they did not receive your case yet. That is the only answer she gives me.

Did you ask if she can try to locate it for you or figure out when it really was sent? If she really cant do much more than tell you they have not gotten it yet then shes being really shitty help for you... Generally they are the last resort when everything else doesnt work too.

i talked to a lawyer about this before we filed.there is no guarantee that you get the embassy you request because it remotely depends on the request embassy and their schedule.abu dhabi most likely didnt receive the case because london didnt send it.if i were you i would focus more on contacting london rather than abu dhabi.

PS: you need to do something fast since your petition might expire

it depends,if the case was sent to london and then abu dhabi the possibility of it having gotten lost is really high,i dont think it has anything to do with NVC,cause it got to the embassy, just the wrong one,and they claim to have sent it to AD consulate.
