I need advice on what to do. I filled a I130 for my wife and received a NOA1 stating the paper work was received on June 10, 2010. It has been 5 months and I have not received any information since.

My application is being processed by the CA office. I called and they said they are reviewing May 2x applications and are slowly moving forward. Do I need to continue waiting or is there anything else I can do to speed up the process? My application does seem way out of the average processing times. Please advise, Thanks!

Since it is beyond the normal processing time, I would contact my congressman and senator. You can request them to make an inquiry on your behalf. Your case will, at least, be touched and hopefully approved immediately.

Good luck with your case!

it is a little late but I would not panic. Have you contacted USCIS? If not do this. If you do not get anywhere with them you may wish to solicit congressional assistance. Good luck.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

I called USCIS and they said there is nothing they can do at this moment. They are currently working on applications that were received on May 28 and would soon move forward and eventually begin working on applications that were received on June 10 (my date). Is this normal?

Also, how would I go about soliciting congressional assistance?

While I understand your frustration and impatience, it's seems like you got a perfectly reasonable explanation of where your case is at in the process. It's not like they're doing all of the other JUNE 10s and later and ignoring yours.
