Ok, what the heck is this and what does it all entail, it's a new procedure for some consulates...online immigration application..I suppose it's going to replace the DS230..is the information the same? or is there more to it than on the DS230?

AOS and IV bill ready to be paid..now I just have to convince my attorney to pay the damn things...he seems to think we need to wait to get instruction from NVC to pay them, and to get some sort of friggin bar code, otherwise, in his words..it'll delay processing...BullSh!t!!

EP forms are different than the regular NVC forms.

That's just one page of this electronic processing.

There are many pages that you need to read to complete this EP smoothly. Darnell has created a step by step guide of this. That's why I urge you to contact him, so that you will not have any glitch in this process.

id say hes wrong mate. as we have learned these past few weeks you can prompt the nvc by filling things out online and emailing. if you wait for them to send you forms then you dont speed things up. get him to pull his finger out and pay your bills monday morning. you dont want to be sitting around waiting for paperwork to arrive that you can print off yourself and / or email it in.

As far as I know, EP and the DS-260/DS-261 are two different paths, so the wiki that Darnell did won't help.

For EP, you fill out the DS-230 and scan it and attach it as an email. You do the same with the I-864.

The DS-260 on the other hand is a form filled out online. No scanning and emailing things. I know of one person who has done the DS-261 and DS-260 route: Heather&Matt. After you fill out the DS-260 online, you still have to send in the supporting documents (such as birth certificate, marriage certificate, PCC, etc.). And you would still have to mail the I-864 like normal.

IMO, it would be faster not to do the DS-260 route since you can't pre-fill out the form like you can with the DS-230. If you do the DS-230 beforehand, as soon as the IV appears as PAID, you print out the barcode sheet and can mail the package off right away, but with the DS-260, you'd have to go through all the pages and fill them out and then send in the IV package.

Hope this clears things up a bit about the new online form.

is he trainable? Can you train him ?

I did mention in another thread that yer attorney prolly knows nothing about EITHER the online payment portal (that anyone can use) or NVC Electronic Processing (Specific to Canada filers) . Well, 'waiting for instruction from NVC' is a sure sign he's an idiot.

The instruction he seeks, is in the coversheet that is downloaded OFF of the online payment portal, and is only available for download AFTER a payment is marked as 'paid'.

re: DS-260 -

We mailed our AOS and IV packages this past week and then today I went online to here: http://ceac.state.gov/IV/summary.aspx and found that a DS-260 had been generated for me (the beneficiary). Yeah, I saw in another thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/287541-info-for-montreal-beneficiaries/ that it appears to be mandatory now. I'd call up an operator tomorrow and explain your situation to them and ask what to do.
