My husband did his medical in Toronto yesterday. I was able to get a few details from him.

He arrived at 6:30 AM and was the 8th person in line. They were let into the office and everyone was given paperwork to fill out in order. Then they were called in order to different stations. One was to answer some medical questions and turn in paperwork/pictures, one was to get blood drawn, one was for the chest x-ray and one was to see the doctor. He only saw the Dr. for about 10 minutes. He just did a normal physical (looking in eyes and ears, listening to heart and lungs...etc). Hubby said overall it was pretty painless. He was done by 8:30.

Sorry, that was all of the details I could drag out of him.

Sounds like everything went fine. When he gets his results, he should just make sure so there are no surprises

Good luck

He paid the extra $50 and is having the results mailed to him. I'm under the impression that they are sealed and can't be opened until the interview (they probably don't want to run the risk of anyone tampering with them).

They didn't really tell him if he "passed" or "failed". They probably don't want to say anything until the blood work and x-ray come back. Someone may pass the physical but get a negative test result....etc.

I'm sure he's fine, though. He works out, eats healthy and is never sick.

One thing he did mentioned is that they asked him if he'd ever stayed in the hospital overnight. He said yes, because he had a biking accident when he was in college and had to get surgery on his eye. The Dr. asked him "which eye"? and my Husband said "Honestly, I can't remember". The Dr. said "we'll just say the right one". My husband found this so funny. Obviously they weren't overly concerned with accuracy.

The results in the sealed envelope are handed over at the interview... unopened.

I also received a copy of the vaccination sheet and the x-ray result for my records.

Not to worry...if there are any issues at all they will let you know.
