Nebraska K-1 processing time?????

Hi,

I filed my 129-F and received my receipt on June 12, 2006. I haven't heard anything after that. How long should this take to get to the next step? This seems like it's taking too long, and I can't get any information from the immigration service.

Thanks

Your petition's been transferred to CSC. Take a look at this thread and you'll find timelines of other users whose petitions are being processed there: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=57

Good luck!

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Do you mean by average waiting time over 4 months wait for any update at all or waiting for NO2?

My fiance filed our petition to NSC as well and get informed about reiceipt june21st. Since then we did not hear anything new. When I join VJ I learned that NSC is forwarded to CSC and unfortunately I also learned that my fiance filed the wrong form (old I-129F, without IMBRA questions). So now we are waiting for RFE but nothing happened so far (eventhough it was 2 months ago since last update). Looking up at USCIS it only shows last update june 26th! What take them so long???

2 things:

1) the IMBRA Disaster. Every person who filed for a K-1 between the months of March and June recieved an IMBRA RFE. Can you say backlog? Some of the people who filed in March and February are still waiting to be approved because of this.

2) At the same time the brainiacs over at USCIS decided to close both the Texas and Nebraska Service Centers from processing K-1 Visas. All of the petitions from both TSC and NSC were sent to the California Service Center. Backlog x 1,000,000.

Hang in there... my NOA1 was August 16th and even on the off chance I don't get an RFE I'm not expecing NOA2 til January.

Hey Sarah, your signature doesn't match your timeline...your TL says your NOA1 is June 24. But your signature says rec'd at CSC on JULY 23?

I wish I can be with my fiance for christmas or even before that too. He is military and will be deployed around end of this year/beginning of next year for 6 months. Don't know what to do if the visa get approved and he is somewhere in the desert?! :crying:

By the way home comes my timeline is not shown underneath my post? where can I find the settings?

Hi,

Thanks for your responces, but know I don't know what a IMBRA RFE is. Will I be affected by this? I received my NOA1 on June 14, 2006.

Thanks

If you've filed the I-129f updated with questions about having met your fiance through an international marriage broker and the petitioner's criminal background, you've filed the correct form. If you haven't or have failed to provide the documents asked for (if the USC has committed any of the crimes listed there) or if you haven't filed a waiver regarding previous K petitions as per the instructions on the form, then you'll get an RFE.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.
