There is no pregnancy test in SLEC. Answer to your question, yes.

They had me give them a urine sample which they said was for a pregnancy test. I remember this because I asked them why I would need a pregnancy test when I was currently menstruating at that time. The employee said that they've had experiences in the past when women lied about menstruating in order to get out of having the pregnancy test (though I have no idea what an immigrant applicant has to gain by lying about being pregnant).

I also asked about the urine test. Someone for SLEC told me that its not for pregnancy test, its more on testing a more contagious disease.

When mhay went for her medical they did a pregnancy test. They will give you your shots if you are menstrating. In fact they wouldn't give mhay her shots when she first went since I was there & she had "contact" w/me. They told her 2 go back when she had her first day of her period to do another pregnancy test & get her shots. They do pregnancy tests because of a couple of the shots are live viruses.

That's true. MMR, for one, cannot be given to pregnant women.

So just judging from the type of visas (K1 and IR1/CR1) of the posters here, it seems that SLEC does pregnancy tests on married women (IR1/CR1 posters who were told that the urine was for a pregnancy test) but not on single (K1 posters who said there's no pregnancy test or was told the urine is not for a pregnancy test) women. I could be wrong but it's just what it looks like on this thread.

Question - Is SLEC assuming that all K1 visa applicants never slept with their fiances and could not possibly be pregnant?

They do 4 k1 also. They have 2 do it just in case for the immunizations.

My fiance gave urine sample at third day at St Lukes since first day she was still menstruating. They told her for pregancy test. Then after results came back from sputum test she had to have another pregnancy test--told them impossible for her to be pregnant but of course they won't assume that... and they told her had to make sure before given her two of the vaccines she still needed.
