I printed mine straight from Facebook. I highlighted the date that it was uploaded, which is something that can't be altered. A lot of people print 3 photos per sheet of paper, which saves a lot of space in the envelope. You might want to bring originals to the interview though.

Is it fine to print the photos showing proof of meeting with the last 2 years on normal paper, or should I develop them on photo paper? does it matter?

Some members have reported that they submitted pictures printed in regular paper and put about 3 or 4 pictures per page. But, honestly, as cheap as prints are, why not spend a couple of dollars to show good quality pictures actually printed in photo paper? Just go to your local pharmacy or supermarket chain with a photo lab and get some pics printed.

I submitted 10 pictures with my original petition and I am working on putting a photo album together that I can take to the interview once the time comes. Also, I could keep up with this photo album and keep including pictures of us together which will be needed for his residency and later for the removal of conditions interview. Planning ahead will save you some time now and later, too!

Best wishes!

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

I had digital pictures taken with my Canon Power Shot digicam - what isn't digital anymore? I simply printed them on my ink jet printer on glossy photo paper at home. They look just like those printed at Walmart, etc. I attached them to paper what would fit and wrote the names, date, and location on the backs of each photo and on the sheet each was attached to. My fiancee and I did happen to visit some very recognizable places like Washington DC so I was sure to include some of those to help highlight the fact that she came to America to visit me and it was clear from the picture it was America (Washington Monument or Capitol Building, both were unmistakable! So was Dulles Airport).

The embassy accepted my home printed pictures just fine for the application and K1 Visa process.

I sent both. I inserted them into a Word document and printed that in color and then had regular prints made and inserted those into a baggy (labeled on back) and stapled that to a blank piece of paper paper clipped to the Word document page.

I had mine professionally printed. I think it shows more of a concern from your behalf. I went to Staples and bought Photo Sheets where you can insert two photos per page. Cut off the side where the binder holes were and two hole punched them at the top. I sent 21 pictures. Which is not neccessary, but I front-loaded in hopes that it may speed the process up. You can use regular paper and even get multiple photos on the paper. As long as they are legible.

You get -0- points for concern. Frontloading has little value and will not speed anything up. Adding additional information (frontloading) to the poetition will have -0- affect on petition filing. There is a theory that since the additional information is forwarded to the consulate that they cannot refuse to look at your evidence and then deny the visa for "lack of evidence"

Actually they CAN, but IF you frontloaded the petition you would have grounds for appeal. It is one of those things you never hope to do. It will not speed up the approval of your petition.

IF you send everything you need with the petition, it will be approved about 20 minutes after they look at it. It takes 15-20 minutes for an adjusicator to open, review and approve a "clean" K-1 petition. The rest of the time it is sitting around waiting to be looked at. If there are problems, with a background check for example, frontloading a bunch of photos and copies of phone bills will not be the reason it is delayed. USCIS will not send you an RFE for more "proof of relationship" for petition approval.

I sent exactly ONE photo of Alla and I together. A few more would not be a bad thing, but you get no extra credit for it.

I had printed mine through snapfish but then I took them to my copier and printed two on each page and wrote on the bottom of each where we were in each photo, but also kept the snapfish pictures for original proof

Actually, the theory is that a consular officer can't deny a visa for something which was known to USCIS at the time the petition was approved. If they do then their denial implicitly indicates that USCIS erred when they approved the petition. Consulates don't like to do that unless USCIS clearly screwed up. They prefer to have a reason USCIS didn't know about. Marc Ellis wrote a nice article that describes the reasons for frontloading.

For a photo to be good evidence in this regard it would have to clearly show something which might be contradicted by the CO. For example, if the consulate considers meeting the beneficiary's parents to be important according to local social customs, then including photos of the petitioner with the beneficiary's parents would help prevent the CO from claiming they never met. Frontloading evidence doesn't force the CO to look at it, but it does help to prevent them from claiming the evidence doesn't exist.

Thanks for the better explanation. At any rate, it has no affect on petition processing. The poster that mentioned that has a fiancee from Moldolva which uses the Bucharest consulate. It is not a particularly difficult one and they are not know for gratuitous visa refusals.

I had read somewhere they will begin to process visas at the consulate in Chisinau, Moldova, so that would be a wild card but regionally the consulates are not know for being difficult. It is not a high fraud region.

I posted about the consulate in Chisinau starting to process visas. They began on November 1st. I definitely put down Chisinau, Moldova as where she would be filing. I hope they are easy. It would be nice.
