If my sister was working at DHS, I wouldn't wait 6-months then send an email to somebody at USCIS in DC. That's just me though. I'm not buying any of this tomfoolery.

Oh dear, it looks like August filers are on the way back. Not sure whether it's good or bad for you...

I was just wondering the same thing- are they sending August filers packing back to the CSC? I for one haven't received any emails/texts/online updates yet...

03/02/2011: NVC Case Number Assigned, received IIN #

06/06/2011: AOS and IV received at NVC

08/24/2011: Embassy Interview

09/14/2011: Visa granted

09/18/2011: POE Houston!!!

I'm getting really paranoid thoughts now. If I receive an RFE after all this time I think I'll slide into a coma.

First congrats to Wade(hope your boy is better) and Sara, Xelance and all the rest for the aprovals! :thumbs:

I just got an email saying that ours got moved to AN USCIS office (didn't say CSC though) Now does it mean the local office or what?!?! I am really steaming mad here :ranting: ####### it's going on?!

I JUST saw the news about the 36.000 cases ..... and my jaw dropped!! They finally officially admitted the F**** -up!!!

USCIS journey:

02/11/2010 - got married

06/28/2010 - sent I-130

06/29/2010 - received by uscis

07/06/2010 - notice NOA1

07/08/2010 - updated

07/10/2010 - got NOA1 hard copy in the mail

11/01/2010 - moved from CSC to TSC

11/02/2010 - updated

11/03/2010 - updated

11/23/2010 - updated (post decision activity)

02/09/2011 - notification moved from TSC (back to initial review :o )

02/10/2011 - confirmation TSC back to CSC!

02/16/2011 - APROVED!!!!!

NVC journey:

02/25/2011 - we're IN :)) case # Emailed DS 3032. Paid AOS Fee.

03/01/2011 - DS 3032 approved (confirmation by email)

03/02/2011 - AOS shows paied -> AOS packet mailed out

I've been transferred back to CSC. Just got this email:

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Your Case Status: Initial Review

On February 7, 2011, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. Everything else just the standard email stuff. I'll let you all know when I get my hard copy notice.

Good luck - I hope you get through the rest of this phase without any more complications!

Like you Wade I was approved on the 7th not today the 9th. Strange I didn't get the notifications until today... I'm going to contact the Congressman's office to follow up for a speedy NVC transfer. I wonder if there are more approvals than they could enter in one moment. Also it's strange that they didn't ask for more evidence considering I had a marriage certificate and 2 affidavits (one a couple sentences long from my brother and one from the mayor of Luc's city) Although we did "live" together at his mother's house according to our marriage certificate.

It's easy for all the craziness that's happening to foster paranoia- keep trying your best to remain positive! Look at the folks who've been getting messages of approval and think that that will be you soon :)

An RFE can be good or bad. We had one during our K-1 processing, I had the requested info gathered up for them in one day and overnighted it. The K-1 was approved a week after they got it.

I wonder if batch emails are somehow sent out in alphabetical order... my last name begins with one of the last letters of the alphabet, maybe that's why I haven't received an email spelling out in which manner I am going to be violated next. :blink:
